Studio | No Bedrooms | sleeps 2
Hazards Escape is a recently completed, free standing unit, adjacent to the main house, in a quiet setting about 5 minutes drive from the township of Coles Bay.
The unit contains a spacious kitchenette and bathroom. It has queen bed with electric blanket, a comfortable living area which includes a small stereo, tv, and dvd player (and a few DVD's). It even has an old VCR with a collection of videos of classic British comedy's such as “Are You Being Served” and “On the Buses”.
The deck at front of unit is semi enclosed for privacy and has an out door setting perfect for enjoying a relaxed and peaceful breakfast or evening glass of wine with an outlook that lingers towards Great Oyster Bay and around to the peaks of the Hazards.
Hazards Escape is a perfect retreat for a couple or a single. Twin accommodation is possible but not highly recommended. The Sofa bed is as good as it can get, but, it is still a sofa bed, and although we love children, we are not particularly set up for them (polished concrete floors are hard on knees! No port-a-cot or bath etc.) So, if you have a little one you are welcome but you will need to bring your own extra's.

The Tasmania region
The stunning Freycinet Peninsula is located on Tasmania's East Coast. Rugged granite peaks rise dramatically from clear blue waters and white sand beaches, the climate is mild and the people are friendly.
Freycinet National Park offers a range of walks, from quick, 10 minute, wheel chair friendly strolls, to 5 day hikes the length of the peninsula. In and around the park, there are kayak tours, sea cruises, 4 wheel motor bikes, fishing, wine tasting, swimming, golf, scenic flights, beach walks and more. Bird watchers are in for a treat and photographers are spoilt for choice.
There is something to do and see here for every age and level of fitness, whether you partake in the activities or just sit back, enjoy the view, and revel in the deliciousness of the local seafood, produce and wine.
Coles Bay is the gateway to Freycinet National park, home of the world renowned Wineglass Bay. It is a small town, with a mild climate that offers beautiful sunny days, even in the heart of winter (although the nights still get a bit chilly!)
Travelling in the off peak season you can enjoy the spectacular Freycinet National Park and walk the stunning beaches and run a good chance of having the place to your self.
In the summer months, there are alot more people but just as much fun, just be sure to pre book your activities, some of which may include a sea cruise around to Wineglass Bay, Kayak tour around the coves, a 4 wheel motor bike tour, fishing, ora scenic flight.
