This house is a large house built into the hillside, with the living room, dining room, kitchen, spare bedroom which can double as an office and the first bathroom on the top floor leading to a huge outside terrace area with fantastic views across the Sierra Nevada and Malaga hills.

Stairs then lead down to 3 large bedrooms and the central bathroom. Each bedroom has double balcony doors which open on to the views across the country. There are steps which lead down to a huge secluded terrace around a lovely large swimming pool overlooking the mountains.

The house comes complete with a tour guide if you should need one, who will not only meet you at the airport and take you back to the property (it is still suggested that you hire a car for your own independence), but we will also take you to any points of interest you need to go, and all included in the rental price. The house is tastefully decorated in lovely rich Spanish colours, and the woodwork compliments the wooden furniture. The bathrooms and main staircase have been tiled in traditional Spanish locally produced tiles which give the whole house a lovely warm welcoming feel

This house is offered at a reduced rate to help families to be able to afford a good holiday in the sun in these times of recession!

The Andalucia region

Inland from Marbella, not only offers fantastic scenery in the mountains of "Sierra de las Nieves" (the snowy mountains in English) but also offers much more value for money when it comes to dining out.

For example, 8 of our guests went out and had a great meal, including wine and drinks and got a bill for €63? They went and did it again at another local restaurant and spent only €75, once again for 8 of them, and believe me although they were not heavy drinkers, they do like their food!!

Here in the country we are surrounded by restaurants which are known locally as “Venta’s” and every single day, you can buy a 3 course meal which is called the “Menu del dia” for as little as €7! And for that price you will get an entree which can consist of a good sized mixed salad, Gaspacho or seafood soup, a main course which will include dishes like Pork chops; Chicken or lamb, and then a choice of a desert, either ice cream; flan or coffee. This price also includes a bottle of red wine, (true you could re fuel the old Model T ford with it) but when mixed with a locally made lemonade called “Cassera” or “Gaseosa” it makes a deliciously fruity and very thirst quenching drink known here in Spain as “Tinto De Verano” easily translated as “red wine of summer”

Despite the efforts of the BBC weather department to try and convince us that we were going to have a good summer for 2009, we all know that it unfortunately rained for the majority of the summer months. Just a point to ad if you are thinking of coming to Spain this or next year, it didnt rain in summer 2009 after the middle of April!

Just book a flight and come here, and actually enjoy your holiday in the sunshine, instead of wondering what the heck you are going to do everyday whilst its raining!! There are only so many times you can go shopping to alleviate the boredom!! Believe me we’ve done it with 2 small children!!

In addition to the water parks and theme parks, there are numerous beaches, beach restaurants, bars, and places of interest. If you like walking there is the fantastic mountain of "La Concha" and the hotel and restaurant "Refugio de Juanar" This walk will last for about 2 to 3 hours each way but will take you to the top of the "La Concha" mountain which overlooks Marbella, Gibraltar, and the north African "Atlas Mountains".

If walking is not your thing, then you can easily visit the fantastic Safari park called "Selwo" and then a short drive further to the British territory of Gibraltar. There are water parks located at Fuengirola, and Torremolinos a short drive from the house.

Our local village of Guaro also hosts one of the largest festivals in Spain which takes place on the first 2 weekends in September, and attracts visitors from all over the country, as the entire village is lit with only candles, and has a massive Moorish style market, bars and restaurants, a truly magic experience. In the area we have numerous golf courses, all within a short drive from the house, we even have fishing lakes, also a short drive from the house, and we will guide you to any of these facilities, as and when you want to go, or simply relax by our lovely pool.

THERE IS SO MUCH HISTORY IN THE AREA, MONDA CASTLE FOR EXAMPLE IS AN OLD MOORISH CASTLE, BUT IT ALSO DATES BACK TO THE ROMAN EMPIRE, AND WE HAVE AN ORIGINAL ROMAN BRIDGE IN THE AREA CLOSE TO MONDA, WHICH IS THE NEXT VILLAGE TO GUARO. IN 45BC THE ROMAN CIVIL WAR WHICH HAD BEEN RAGING BETWEEN THE FORCES OF POMPEII AND JULIUS CAESAR WAS BROUGHT TO AN END IN JULIUS CAESARS FAVOUR AT THE BATTLE OF "MUNDA". THE SITE OF THE ROMAN SPANISH TOWN OF "MUNDA" AND "MONDA" ARE SAID TO BE THE SAME, ALTHOUGH SOME DISPUTE THIS, THE LOCAL INHABITANTS STILL SUPPORT THE THEORY. ITS A GREAT STORY AND NO REASON WHY IT SHOULDN'T BE FACT. MONDA CASTLE IS A FABULOUS PLACE TO VISIT, EITHER FOR A COFFEE OR A MEAL IN THE A LA CARTE RESTAURANT WITH FANTASTIC VIEWS TO THE LOCAL SURROUNDING COUNTRYSIDE. IT EVEN HAS A MINIATURE VERSION OF THE ALHAMBRA GARDENS THERE AND IS A GREAT VENUE FOR WEDDINGS AND ANY CELEBRATION, AS IT ALSO CONTAINS A HOTEL.
