SIGHTSEEING
MIJAS (15mins) - the most famous of the whitewashed pueblos of Andalucia, perched high on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean. Renowned for donkey rides and horsedrawn carriages through its narrow streets.
MARBELLA (30mins) - centred around the attractive Old Town with its picturesque Orange Square, Marbella is the Costa del Sol's premiere resort for shopping and nightlife.
PUERTO BANUS (35mins) - famous for its designer shops, restaurants, and nightclubs, set around its exclusive marina.

LAKE DISTRICT AND EL CHORRO GORGE (45mins) - the narrow gorge cut into the rock by the Guadalhorce river is at the centre of an area of outstanding natural beauty with wooded ravines and unusual rock formations. Close by is an impressive network of lakes. Ideal day out for walkers, climbers and picnics.

Moorish remains. The home of bullfighting, with an historic bullring and matador museum.

we chose Casas Las Brisas as a last mintue option for a much-needed break where we wanted to do nothing much. It turned out to be the perfect place. The owner Jackie was extremely helpful... more |

We enjoyed staying in this pretty little cottage. It was very well appointed and had everything we needed. The only thing we could have had more of in May was sun - it rained and was windy. On the sunny days having the pool was a real bonus. Very easy to get to the lovely towns and villages around including Antequera, Rondo, Malaga, Marbella - but the house itself is off the beaten track which suited us. The owners are very nice and were very willing to help when needed. |

Great little place. Perfect for two. Everything you could want. Plenty of space. Kitchen very well equipped. Comfy sofas with freesat TV. Efficient air con. Comfy double bed. Lovely patio area with seating for 4 with views over hills. Lovely private plunge pool. Almost at the end of a quiet road with only the occasional sounds of horses from the rescue centre down the road. Car parking o/s front door for one car. Spiral stairs are a feature but no good for anyone with mobility issues/small children. Suggestion to owner. Put a bed settee in lounge and becomes great place for family of four or two couples. This is second time we have used it (using the large villa next door too for the rest of the gang!) and I would definately book it again. |
Guestbook for Las Brisas Casita
Just to let you know we had a lovely stay in your villa recently. The cottage was well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay with more than enough crockery and cutlery. It was lovely in a morning watching the sun rise and then in the evening setting. The views were nearly 360 deg. We enjoyed watching the herd of goats and shepherd that came every night passed the villa and also the donkey and horses that were nearby. The villa is certainly in a peaceful location yet very convenient for visiting the coastal resorts or visiting The Spanish Lake District which we really enjoyed. I certainly will recommend your villa and hope to return again.

We've had a fab time - thanks for making us feel so at home in your casita. This is the best equipped villa we have stayed in. Weve been here on 3 occasions and loved each one and and we will definitely be back again.

My fiance Brett and I came to your cottage for 7 nights in July and had the most wonderful time, in fact I couldn't find anything wrong at all! Brett is a very light sleeper so always takes ear plugs wherever we go. For the first time ever when on holiday he simply didn't need them; it was so peaceful - absolute bliss! We couldn't fault the cottage's location and facilities - great bbq, lovely pool and for the duration of our stay we didn't want for anything as the cottage is so well equipped. We had planned to drive into the village for evening dinner but only ate out once as we couldn't bring ourselves to leave! We have always preferred booking direct with an owner rather than through a hotel and this break confirmed our sentiment. It's clear that Richard and yourself love your cottage and take great care of it, which means you care about the renters holiday as much as they do. We would not hesitate to come back to the Casita and are even considering booking in advance for a 1 week break next summer; something we've never considered before. Thanks for an unforgettable break. Regards, Beverley and Brett
Hello again Jackie!
We just wanted to thank you for an amazing week we got to spend in your casita. As we mentioned, we have been to Spain a lot with self catering(about 10 times) and I can honestly say that your casita is the best place we have ever been to in Spain. It was close to everything you need, theres a taxi that knows the place, the house is clean, well equipped and beautiful. This is a place we can definitely recommend to everybody, it really made our holiday .Thanks again. Tiina+Thomas, Finland. August 2010
