The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region
Coimbra (Costa da Prata) region has many historical places of interest combining the mountainous landscape with sandy ocean and river beaches(40 and 20 minutes respectively drive from the house).
Places of interest include Coimbra (Oxford of Portugal) with Golf club(9 holes), Luso thermal Spa, Roman ruins, Neoclassical towns, Fatima (Portugal's answer to Lourdes), Bucaco Imperial Palace with casino nearby.

How to get there
House is not far from OCEAN BEACH at Fiquera da Foz FLY to LISBON or PORTO. Hire a car. Easy A1 motorway access to the House. (Approx. 90 minutes from LISBON and 60 minutes from PORTO Airports drive to the HOUSE) On motorway A1 get off at junction to Condeixa town and make 20 minutes drive to the house. A1 motorway runs directly from Arrival terminal at Lisbon Airport. Frequent Intercity trains run from Lisbon or Porto to Coimbra town, then take 20 minutes taxi drive to the house (cost approx. £ 15 taxi fare) We will send detailed Directions to the house and contact to local keyholder upon confirmed Booking Low cost Flights are operated by EASYJET from London Luton, Bristol and other UK airports and by Monarch Air from Gatwick to both LISBON and PORTO
