Tastefully furnished, this Kentish property has been finished to an extremely high standard and makes the ideal holiday retreat with the addition of the 30ft heated swimming pool with jacuzzi and swim jets set in mature gardens.
The spacious rooms are all bright and airy, capturing the sun throughout the day and benefiting from delightful garden views. With all the modern conveniences to make your visit to Kent most relaxing and enjoyable, this home provides excellent holiday accommodation for families. There are 2 spacious lounge areas both with cosy log fires, a large dining area for 8+ guests and a separate dining area in the kitchen providing a further 4 seats. There are also contemporary additions such as under floor heating throughout, sleek limestone flags and porcelain plank flooring, Satellite television and WiFi access, 5 plasma TVs, DVD players and an iPod docking station with stereo system.
The property can be let as a self catering holiday home. However, if you wish we can organise maid service at your discretion and catering provided to suit your needs. Please enquire for further details.
This is an extremely special holiday home and would make an ideal destination for vacations at any time throughout the year:
During the Spring and Summer months, enjoy the extensive mature garden, large patio and BBQ area, heated pool and bubbling jacuzzi. During Autumn and Winter months take full advantage of the 2 cosy log fires with free wood supplied. Dine together and play games around the dining table, socialise on large leather sofas next to the fire in the lounge, or challenge each other to a game of table football in the conservatory.
For all of those ramblers and outdoor types amongst you, this secluded property is perfect for a relaxing break in the countryside with a vast amount of country walking routes, bridalways and cycle paths on the doorstep. We are perfectly nestled in a small village, within walking distance of the local parks, shop, pubs and train station. The Dickensian village of Cobham provides a beautiful walking destination and boasts a range of stunning landmarks such as Cobham Hall, The Darnley Mausoleum, Owletts National Trust Home and Charles Dickens' preferred country pub 'The Leather Bottle', overlooking the church. There is a Forestry Commissioned park (Jeskyns) on our doorstep in addition to beautiful bluebell woods and agricultural farmland.
Although enjoying a tranquil location with wildlife all around us, the property is only a short drive from the historic Cities of Rochester and Canterbury, and the Kent coastline. Bluewater Shopping Centre is only 10 minutes drive away and all London airports can be reached within an hour. The high speed rail link at Ebbsfleet International is only 5 minutes drive away and can take you to The Olympic Village, Stratford in 15 minutes, Central London in just 17 minutes and Europe from as little as 1 hour 5 minutes.

All of our bedrooms have en suite bathroom facilities; 2 with a full bathroom comprising of bath, shower, toilet and sink; and a further 2 shower rooms with shower, toilet and sink. We also have a separate toilet/utility room. Outside we have a shower room next to the swimming pool with a shower toilet and sink.
The house is arranged with a double or king size bed in each room. However, one of the king size beds can be changed into two singles if you prefer and this can be arranged with prior notice. We also have the facility to provide beds for extra guests if needed but this will incur a further charge; please contact us for further details.

Nestled within mature, south-facing gardens of approximately one third of an acre, we have outbuildings comprising of a log store and outdoor changing rooms with shower, toilet and sink and separate kitchen facilities. There is also a large terraced area with luxury all weather dining sofas for 8 people and various metal dining table sets and some sun loungers. We have a private drive which can comfortably hold 8 + cars.
Further details
The heated outdoor swimming pool sits conveniently within the terraced area. It has a depth of 1m in the shallow end and 2m in the deep end, with 2 exercise swim jets. There is an adjoining heated jacuzzi.
The pool is usually open between April and October, weather depending, and is fully managed.

Rochester and Cobham Park Golf Club is within walking distance, or a 5 minute drive from the property, and welcomes green fee payers on weekdays.
There are various traditional country fairs and village fetes throughout the spring and summer months including Luddesdowne May Day Fair, Cobham Primary School fete in July, and Cobham Village fair during August Bank Holiday weekend. There are also numerous village activities planned this year to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.

This is an excellent family home with a lot of facilities. It has a very beautiful private garden with nice flowers and has been well maintained. The swimming pool is very nice with all needed facilities. The house has 4 bedrooms with en-suite bathroom in each, making the stay of a big family very comfortable. The house also has a big living room, fantastic Conservatory, and an excellent kitchen with all utensils. The hous is in a very good location with easy access to local shops and the railway station which is connected to London terminal in only 44minutes trip. It is also very close to the Blue Water Shopping centre. The owners of the house are very friendly and hospitable and were very keen to provide us with whatever we need. My children and grandchildren were very happy as well, and we are looking forward to be there again (God Willing)! |
