The Pembrokeshire region
There are fantastic views and wildlife over the Preseli's such as the wild welsh ponies who love the odd apple or carrot from visitors, sheep and cattle also graze freely on the Preseli's , birds of prey are also be spotted which include buzzards and red kites. You may like to go pony trekking or mountain biking though the hills which you can do by contacting organized companies.
There are lots of notable ancient features which are really worth going to have a look at one of them being Bedd Arthur also known as Arthur's Grave the ancient standing stone lies at the top of the Preseli ridge and overlooks the rocky formation and moorland of Carn Menyn. It is also been said that the bluestones from this outcrop have been found at Stonehenge.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is one of Britains National Trails. There are 15 in England and Wales and they represent the 15 best walking trails. There are three national trails in Wales, The Pembrokeshire Coast Path, Offa's Dyke and Glyndwr's Way. What makes the Pembrokeshire Coast Path so interesting is the variety of landscapes you pass through on your way along it, ranging from steep limestone cliffs, undulating red sandstone bays, volcanic headlands and flooded glacial valleys.
The West Wales / Pembrokeshire / Pembrokeshire region
These wild, mysterious, rolling moors roamed by sheep and ponies provide a superb terrain for walkers and horse riders. Although climbing to just 1760 feet at the highest point they afford (on a clear day) exceptional all round views to the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland, Snowdonia in the north, the Brecon Beacons to the east and the Bristol Channel and West Country to the south.
