High in the South Shropshire hills is this perfect getaway for two people.This attractive cottage is in a dramatic setting with lovely views to the Black Hill. It is situated in a pretty kitchen garden with outlooks over fields and the surrounding hills. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay.
The Coach House is the other side of the courtyard from our house. It has a ground floor hall with washing machine and tumble dryer with plenty of space to hang your outdoor clothes and stairs to the first floor. On the first floor there is an open plan sitting room with wood burner and a kitchen area with cooker, fridge and dishwasher. The bedroom has with a king size bed and the bathroom has a bath and shower, wash basin and wc.
The cottage has a west facing garden with tables and chairs so you can sit out and enjoy the setting sun. Linen, towels and logs for the wood burner are provided. The cottage has central heating and there is a car parking space for your car.

The Heart of England/Peak District
The South Shropshire Hills are in the historic Marches area along the English and Welsh border. Many local villages have castles and those at Clun and Hopton Castle are just down the road.The historic town of Ludlow with its imposing castle, historic town walls and bustling market square is about 14 miles away.. There are three markets a week and in the summer there are many festivals including the well known Food Festival in September. It has many excellent restaurants including two with Michelin stars.
There are fabulous walks from the door of the Coach House and many signposted footpaths to explore. There are mountain bike trails through Hopton Woods, just over a mile away. The area has magnificent rolling scenery with wonderful views at every turn.
There are many historic houses and gardens to visit nearby including Croft Castle, Berrington Hall, Powis Castle. Ironbridge, a world heritage site, is less than an hour's journey away. There is so much to do that many visitors return year after year.
Clun is 4 miles away and is a very picturesque village with a castle and almhouses. It has all the shops for your everyday needs as well as 2 pubs and a cafe. Many guests choose to walk over the hills to Clun, have lunch and then return without having to use the car.
