"Beautiful location, but cleaning issues"
We wanted to love the Simonscove House as the location was absolutely outstanding, right over looking the water and a cove to swim in. The layout of the house is amazing and the owners were warm and … More
the timing of the review is out of sequence I believe with bookings. as per previous response, we acknowledge cleaning issues from late june- early july (our first month) and immediately changed the appointed company. Since then, we have had nothing but very favourable reviews on the standard. We are disappointed that this had to happening and are working hard, as a team, to ensure it never happens again.

"A slice of heaven"
Our treat for holiday in Ireland was to be Simon's Cove and it did not disappoint. We did not want to leave wonderful home in that inspirational and special location by the sea. We all had our favourite spots - up top looking out to sea from the decking; down in the private cove for wonderful swimming and jumping; reading books galore - just about anywhere; sitting out to eat or at the kitchen table looking out to sea; the telly room and on the landing. Even the headrest in the bath was a wow factor for the children. Too much time at the cottage to want to venture to Clonakilty for black pudding but two wonderful session evenings for trad music at An Teach Beag (next to O'Donovan's Hotel. Wonderful country setting and close to great coastal villages and the gateway to West Cork.

This home is beautiful but when we arrived we were surprised that the house was not cleaned well. The food trash can was full. Something had spilt inside the Ice container in the freezer so we had to … More
Thanks so much for taking the time to review Simonscove. Since this feedback (and from one other raising a similar concern) we have changed the contracted cleaning company and doubled the time (from 5 to ten hours) invested in each transition. Since then, all guests have comments very favorably on the cleaning and hygiene. We sincerely regret that anyone had anything not the perfect experience at our house.
