The extensive ground floor living area gives enough room for everyone to relax without being on top of each other, whether its in the main drawing room with large turf fire, the library, the television room with large turf fire, the dining room or kitchen. The Galway / County Clare / County Galway region
Connemara is world renowned for its stunning scenery. This coastal region has miles of beaches and fantastic walks. This is a great area to explore and is a great base for exploring the rest of the west from Clare to Sligo. Clifden is the capital and is located one hour from Galway city and forty minutes from Westport.
Clifden / Church Hill area
There are many local attractions in addition to the breathtaking scenery and coastline. Clifden town has a fantastic mix of shops, pubs, restaurants, theatre and small cinema. There are always events on in town to keep you busy, from live traditional music, live bands and theatre shows, to exhibitions, walking tours, pony fairs and local markets. We highly recommend Clifden Arts week in September for something special.
How to get there
We are located in Clifden the capital of the Connemara region in County Galway. The property is set overlooking the town in its own grounds.
Access by Car: Take the N 59 from Galway City or Westport to Clifden Town and turn right up Church Hill. Airports: The nearest regional airport is Galway Airport , which is serviced by Aer Arann www.aerarann.com and has flights from Edinburgh , Luton, Newcastle and Manchester, and is approx 1 hour and 15 mins drive from Clifden.
Knock and Shannon International Airports are 2 and 3 hours respectively and are serviced by numerous international airlines.
There is also a train service from Dublin to Galway City, www.irishrail.ie

Further details indoors: Decorated with antiques and country furniture, we have aimed to create a Large comfortable home for discerning guests, with all the facilities you might need. The Large Kitchen has double Belfast sinks, tiled counter tops, double fridge, double Siemens ovens, and large gas hob. There is ample crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils for home cooking or alternatively you can organise for a local chef to come in and cook for you of an evening. There is a large utility / drying room off the kitchen with commercial washers and dryers, an extra fridge and freezer and storage space.
Further details outdoors: Large gardens , parking area and Tennis court within the grounds. The swimming Pool area has sun loungers, deck chairs, outdoor tables and a gas barbecue situated at the side of the pool, Sheltered area at the side of the pool for drying, sheltering, storage. Wood decked Sauna is located in the pool area. The Pool area can be closed off by locking the wooden gates at the access points. Please note the pool is heated from June to early September Peat briquettes/turf are supplied for the open fires. Large commercial washing machine and separate Dryer, extra fridge & freezer are located in the utility room off the Kitchen
Please note that the pool is heated from around the last week of May to first week September.

We require a 30% deposit to confirm the booking, and the balance is due 16 weeks prior to arrival.
