Home description
This two storey house has a lovely open plan kitchen and large living room finished to the highest standard. The three double bedrooms are furnished with excellent beds and linen and are all en suite. At the back of the house there is a lovely sun trap with wooden garden furniture and barbecue, there is also an out house which has a washer and dryer and extra storage.
You can walk down church hill to the town square and enjoy the bustle of the capital of Connemara. The house is also located at the beginning of the spectacular Sky Road.

The Galway / County Clare / County Galway region
Connemara is world reknown for its stunning scenery. This coastal region has miles of beaches and fantastic walks. This is a great area to explore and is a great base for exploring the rest of the west from Clare to Sligo. Clifden is the capital and is located one hour from Galway city and forty minutes from Westport.
Clifden / Church Hill area
There are many local attractions aside from the stunning scenery and coast. Clifden town has a population of 1000 and has a great mix of shops, pubs, restaurants, theatre and small cinema. There are always events on in town from live traditional music, live bands, theatre shows, exhibitions, walking tours, pony fairs, local markets. Please see www.clifden.ie. and www.connemara.net. We highly recommend Clifden Arts week in September for something special.
How to get there
We are located in Clifden the capital of the Connemara region in County Galway. The property is set overlooking the town in its own grounds. Access by Car: Take the N 59 from Galway City or Westport to Clifden Town and turn right up Church Hill. Airports: The nearest regional airport is Galway Airport , which is serviced by Aer Arann www.aerarann.com and has flights from Edinburgh , Luton, Newcastle and Manchester, and is approx 1 hour and 15 mins drive from Clifden. Knock and Shannon International Airports are 2 and 3 hours respectively and are serviced by numerous international airlines. There is also a train service from Dublin to Galway City, www.irishrail.ie

Further details indoors: This is an ideal base for a relaxing break and for exploring Connemara. It is a luxurious property in an excellent location and has been finished with great attention to detail. Tho open plan kitchen and living room are well furnished and have an open fire in each area. The granite topped kitchen is well equipped and has double french doors out to the patio area.
Further details outdoors: The house is set on a residential road overlooking the town, yet is very quiet and private. Our guests are also welcome to use the leisure facilities in the nearby Station House Hotel including indoor pool , on a complimentary basis. Activities nearby include Championship golf, fishing from the quay, Sailing from Clifden Boat club, walking tours, a selection of salons and Spas, and shopping. There are numerous Restaurants and pubs serving local produce and each evening there is live traditional music, theatre, local concerts and contemporary Irish live bands.

We will ask for a 30 % deposit to confirm your booking and the balance to be paid by 56 days prior to arrival. A security deposit will be taken on arrival and returned upon check out. If there are any special requests you may have to make your stay more enjoyable please let us know prior to arrival. Please note utilities are charged separately, we can provide an estimate when booking. The owners live nearby and will be on hand to meet you when you arrive and make sure you get settled in.
