"Innen: wunderbar, aber negative Überraschung bzgl. Lage und Privatstrand"

- 2 volle Tage Bauarbeiten beim Nachbarhaus (Haus der Eigentümerin??)- Eigentümerin trotz Ankündigung nie aufgetaucht. "Welcome Package"..???- Anzeige verschweigt daß das Haus auf einem … More

Property 7835 is located on family grounds of 40 acres plus of organic land which includes sand dunes leading on to a harbour and family owned white sandy beach, there is easy access to a further 2 miles of beaches, when the tide is out, or over the rocks to Omey Island, so visitors are not limited to one beach, even though all visitors really appreciate the convenience of the beach on their door step.
There are 4 family homes spread out on the 40 acres plus including my property. There is a small, (family run) non-commercial eco-friendly campsite which accommodates 8/10 tents/campervans. There is no parking bays, in keeping with organic/eco-friendly site, and these tents/caravans nestle in the valleys and sand dune which is approximately 1 km from the property and sometimes can be seen in the distance.
The location of the property as well as the organic campsite can all be viewed on Google Maps and would advise any visitors with any reservations to view this site.
In relation to the comment on the 2 full days of construction! On investigation, one of the family members had some filling/chips delivered to his home and this was spread on his yard around his house for part of two days – later morning start and early afternoon finish - the work men in Connemara work at the same pace as the holiday makers!!
I would always call to the visitors if I am in Connemara and on this occasion had informed them that I would visit during a phone call, which I had given them all the details on keys etc and reiterated to them that I am contactable on my mobile at any time in relation to anything.
Unfortunately, as a result of a sick child, I was unable to travel to Connemara on the weekend in question and forgot to phone to inform them that I would not be there, but was happy in the knowledge that they knew I was contactable on the mobile at anytime.
In relation to the Welcome Package, I had someone else do the changeover for me on this weekend as I could not travel and they omitted to include the perishable items in the package, but tea, coffee, sugar, salt/pepper were left, however, I always include may extras for the visitors in the house, e.g. washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen paper. Liquid soap and toilet paper are supplied in the bathrooms, (extra supplies of these are always left in the press in the utility room) as well as a basket of briquettes for the stove in the sitting room.
There are lots of windows in the house to avail of the fab views, but all windows have large openings which always ensures a gentle sea breeze when needed – what a lovely complaint when holidaying in Ireland, the visitors had a lovely week of sunshine.
This is the first partial negative review my property has got in 6 years, I have a visitors book full of fantastic reviews and get a lot of repeat business, (I have 10 weeks of repeat business this summer alone)
I hope this clarifies the situation and apologise for any inconvenience the visitors may have felt on this occasion.
