The Florida / Orlando Disney Area
The villa is situated 15 minutes from Disney, approximately 20 minutes from Sea World and 30 minutes from Universal Studios. There are plenty of supermarkets, shops and restaurants within 5 - 10 minutes drive, and Outlet Malls are less than 15 minutes away.
11 golf courses are located within 15 minutes.
What can we say about the climate - Florida is the Sunshine State! Summer temperatures range from 23 - 30+ degrees, but there are often the usual daily short sharp rainfalls to freshen everything up and cool you down! For those that like things less hot, we recommend Easter or the May and October half-terms (with children!), but for cheaper deals, book outside the main school holidays if you can! Christmas and New Year are also lovely, with temperatures that can reach 20+ degrees! You can swim all year round in our lovely pool, with its excellent heating system for the cooler times.
Clermont / Greater Groves area
The home is situated in the prestigous Greater Groves community,just off Hwy 27. There is no traffic noise at all and the villa is not near any flight paths. The community incorporates free Tennis Courts, children's play area and communal pool. Supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and central Floridas finest Golf courses are all nearby.
The renowned Disney complex is now just 15 minutes away since the construction of a new direct link road. All other attractions, including Sea World and Universal Studios are less than 25 minutes away , and well signposted. The Kennedy Space Centre and Cocoa Beach are approximately two hours away, and well worth visiting, especially if there is a Shuttle launch planned whilst you are there! Don't forget to go to the world-famous 24-hour Ron Jon surfshop whilst you are there!
For a complete change from the Disney and other attractions why not take a day oput to the glorious Gulf Coast beaches and see the white sands of Sarasota, and Bradenton Beach (our own personal favourite area!). You don't need to travel back past the attractions - just head south on the US27, then west on the I4 and I75, and within two mhours you can be sunbathing in paradise!
For some culture and a complete change, visit the Lake Wales area, south-east of Winter Haven on US27. There you will find such delights as Lake Wales Depot Museum if you like industrial heritage and also Warhol-esque items from the early 1900s. At the museum, confirm directions to Spook Hill, an optical illusion that's been turned into a "bogus" legend! Experience it for yourself - we won't spoli it for you! Then move onto Bok Tower Gardens, a striking example of beautifullt land-sacped gardens designed by William Lyman Phillips in the 1950s. The US answer to the National Trust!
There is a wealth of restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. These are too numerous to mention, but we personally recommend The Outback Steakhouse for your typical high-quality American steak (but with an Aussie theme!), and for a feast of genuine Italian dishes, you can't do better than Carrabas. Both of these are located within ten minutes drive down the 192 (on a small complex together with TGI Fridays - the same price in $ as in £s(!), and also a superb bespoke Pizza House called Giovanis).
Although not golfers ourselves, we have it on good authority that this is golfing heaven! There are 11 golf courses situated within 15 minutes drive up/down the US27, including the world-famous Legends course designed by Jack Nichlaus.
Shopping is fantastic - a shopaholics heaven with bargains galore! There are countless outlet and designer malls - on eof our favourites is the Premium Outlet Mall just off the !4 in the Sea World direction (20 minutes away). Nearer to home, there are a number of supermarkets, including Walmart and pharmacies (most of which are 24-hour), located less than 5 minutes away.
How to get there
The house is situated on the Greater Groves sub-division, which is just off the US Highway 27 (North). It is easy to reach from the main Orlando International and Sanford International Airports, taking about 40 minutes from the terminal buildin g to Greater Groves.Car hire is readily available on the airport campus, and can be pre-booked. Talk to Peter about getting top-notch Dollar and Alamo discount rental deals, when you book with us! There are also plenty of taxis available if you don't want to hire a car, or are a non-driver.
There are plenty of daily scheduled flights available to Orlando International, through Virgin or BA, plus a number of charter flights to Sanford International.

All kitchen items are provided including pots and pans, Microwave oven, dishwasher and waste disposal unit. There is a large fridge with ice maker , coffee maker, toaster and liquidiser.
The master bedroom, which looks out onto the pool, has a very large en-suite bathroom,with large walk-in shower, 2 separate basins and separate W.C. The second master bedroom has a large en-suite shower room, with walk-in shower, basin and W.C. The two twin bedded rooms share the third bathroom, bath, W.C. and basin. Telephone, cable TV (x2)and hairdryers are all provided for your convenience.
There are plenty of towels (NOT FOR POOL USE PLEASE)and sheets for your use.
