Papillon like its sister Cigale is beautifully furnished with an ecclectic mix of English antiques and French charm. The villa is large, and romantic with all the modern facilities you may require for your precious holiday in the sun. Sun loungers and comfortable chairs are scattered about the property with hammocks gently swinging from the conker tree.
The large sumptous beds are dressed in 400 count Egyptian cotton sheets, a picnic awaits or a casserole in the winter complete with a bottle of wine to drink whilst soaking in double ended bath gazing at the vines and surrounding hills. Peace and quiet envelope you lulling you to sleep to the sound of nightingales.

There are so many places to sunbathe, contemplate, eat, read and play at Le Grand Hermitage that there is always a place in the sun or shade. The pool is only shared between the two villas as the owners have their own, away from the secluded area of Cigale and Papillon.
Swing in the hammocks, light the barbeque, swim to your hearts content, all to the sounds of bees and birds and the sights of butterflies, dragon flies and leave gently swaying in the breeze. Take the bikes, or try your hand at boules, wander around the property and take a stroll through the woods or a hike in the hills. Although essentially self catering breakfast, lunch, aperos and evening meal is happily presented- you will be amazed.
Le Grand Hermitage with Papillon and Cigale villas offer breaks all year round from 48 hrs up. Both villas may be booked both individually and together and total eclusivity is also available ( ask for details).
We ask for 25% deposit on booking and full rental must be paid 8 weeks before arrival. booking forms and directions will be sent out on request.
Requests for food are encouraged as we are enthusiastic cooks but as we use only locally sourced foods we ask for 24 hrs notice.
