Crystal Court, Crystal Heights is a small gated development in Clermont, St James, an affluent and peaceful neighbourhood. A short drive will take you down to the west coast road and all the amazing beaches, restaurants, bars and shops that Holetown has to offer.
There is a communal swimming pool, flood-lit tennis-court and club-house with free wifi, set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens planted with local shrubs and palm trees. The white sandy beaches, bars, restaurants and supermarkets are just 1 mile away or a 5-minute drive. Nowhere is far from anywhere on this idyllic island!

The apartment has been tastefully furnished with locally produced furniture and comprises in brief:
Master Bedroom: King-size bed, remote control air conditioning, built in wardrobes and dressing table with a door leading to a large en-suite bathroom comprising w/c, vanity unit with granite surface and large walk-in shower. There is also an electronic safe installed for storing your valuables.
Guest Bedroom: Two single beds, (can be pushed together to make one super-large bed for couples!) remote control air-conditioned, built-in wardrobes and dressing table.
Powder room: w/c and wash basin
Open plan Kitchen, dining and lounge area (with French Patio doors to the front balcony) with a utility area to the rear (including a side door to the rear balcony). All have been furnished beautifully with locally produced furniture and artwork. The comfortable lounge area includes a TV and DVD player, extensive DVD library and cable (not satellite) TV is also installed.

There is a lovely balcony which patio furniture which overlooks the tennis court and swimming pool and the well tended communal areas. A beautiful place to sit and watch the amazing Barbados sunsets!
The west coast of the island is home to the calmest caribbean sea and the softest white powder sand in Barbados and also boasts one of the world's most famous hotels - The Sandy Lane Hotel and Golf Club. The area also has some world class restaurants where you might just spot a hollywood legend or famous pop star or two. The west coast is by far the place to be for the discerning holiday maker.

The west coast is home to some of the best beaches in Barbados as well as some of the finest restaurants. Crystal Heights is in an elevated position some 2 km inland from the west coast road.
The Clermont, St James area
The parish of St James boasts the famous celebrity favourite - The Sandy Lane Hotel and Golf Course and is home to many famous faces. Since Barbados is a small island, nothing is too far away and Crystal Court is ideally placed to explore the many fabulous places and sights - too numerous to mention.
A hire car is essential to visit all that Barbados has to offer from the calm waters of the caribbean sea on the west coast to the rugged atlantic ocean on the east coast.

We want to keep his to ourselves so that it does not get booked up. This lovely two bedroom apartment, in a small, quiet gated complex is ideal for a couple or families that want to combine the many wonders of Barbados with all the comforts of home.
The apartment offers many extras including DVDs, games, bottle steriliser, blender, coffee machine, inflatables, boogie boards, books, etc. I could go on! I had everything there to cook as I would at home. There is wi fi access throughout the apartment and in the club house and by the pool.
It also offers an ideal base for beaches and all other areas in Barbados. Everything is within a 40 minute drive. Car hire is essential but for three weeks exploring we only filled up once.
The gated complex has a swimming pool that is cleaned regularly and lovely grounds that are well maintained. Other permanent and holiday residents were quiet and the majority of the time we were alone in the pool.
The added value of the rental is the owner, Joanne. From the moment of our enquiry to when we got home she was polite, friendly and responsive. She went out of her way to find solutions to some of our difficulties, which included a 60hour journey there, due to flight diversions and cancellations. Our luggage arrived 3 days after us and she text to see if we were okay and give directions to the nearest shops that were not overpriced. I can not praise then customer service that Joanne offers.
The photos on the website give a flavour of the apartment but we were pleasantly surprise to find that the rooms were much bigger than we had anticipated.
We had a wonderful time here and have decided that webwant to book again. I notice from the visitors book that this is not uncommon! I also notice that Joanne has noted suggestions from visitors and acted on them, such as installing a safe.

Up until last year we have always stayed in hotels, not any more, we found this apartment so relaxing and very central to all facilities. We are going back again this yearand hopefully for many years to come!!!

Crystal Court is located in a very quiet residential area - so car-hire is an absolute must. Yet is only 10 minutes from the Platinum Coast beaches. Crystal court is within 5 minute drive to a large shopping centre. So, everything is close to hand. Depending on the time of day, 25-30 minute drive to the airport. Once you arrive, you go into Bajan time mode. Relax and slow down to the Bajan way of life. Crystal Court is located roughly half way 'up' the island. So, it's location is perfect to explore the whole island. Or, you can just relax and chill out, with the pool and tennis court. For us, this is the perfect accomodation. Far away from the crowds, but close enough to be within easy reach of most attractions on the island. Excellent road links mean most points on the island can be reached in 30-45 minutes.
I would highly recommend Crystal Court for a lovely relaxing stress-free holiday. So, much so, we've stayed at Crystal Court five times. and are currently flying out again in January 2012 again. Six times for one location. For me - says it all.
Crystal Court is a top-floor accomodation. For us it is bliss - nobody dragging chairs/heels on the floor above. But, for those less mobile - it could be an issue.
Without a doubt. To do the self-booking holiday is not for all. In our opinion we prefer this type of holiday. No crowds, no herding about and a feeling of really getting away from it all...!
