The Florida / Orlando Disney Area

Florida is famous for unsurpassed theme park entertainment that is guaranteed to keep thrill-seekers of all ages well and truly entertained. Disney World, as well as other parks such Universal Studios and Sea World, provide fun-filled attractions and make it a very child-friendly destination.

Clermont, Orlando / High Grove area

High Grove is ideally situated at the junction of highway 192 and state road 27 just six miles away from Walt disney and approximately 25minutes to Universal Studios and Sea World. High quality golf courses are close by and Gulf coast beaches and Kennedy Space Centre within easy driving distance. There are many restaurants, supermarkets less than 5 minutes away.
BIRDWATCHING
Lake County is the place to view more than 200 species of birds and boasts 18 dedicated sites to go birding. Visit the renowned Emeralda Marsh Conservation Area.

HIKING
Lake County has an extensive and varied landscape for hiking from open prairies, ponds, rolling hills, stands of longleaf pine to wetlands and sand dunes. Visit Lake Louisa State Park only 5 minutes drive away.

GOLF
Within Lake County a variety of golf courses can be found, the natural rolling hills provide changes in elevation and the many lakes present challenges. Diamond Player Club in Clermont is the local public course to visit during your stay and also the Orange County National Golf Centre provides two championship courses within 15 minutes drive away.

FISHING
Freshwater fishing is extensive with over 500 lakes in Lake County. Anglers of all levels are catered for and catches include bass, blue bream, shellcrackers, catfish to name a few. Try out Lake Louisa State Park only 5 minutes drive away.

CITRUS
Visit the Showcase of Citrus only 5 minutes drive away, buy fresh citrus (from October through May) straight from the groves (and you can even pick your own) and ride the swamp buggy, an off road journey through the "real Florida".

How to get there

From Orlando International airport exit the Airport and head for the 417 South. Go along the 417 heading South towards
Kissimmee/Disney. Along this road you will come across a number of Tolls (please ensure you have around $6-7 in change). Some Tolls are manned and some are not manned and you will require the exact change i.e. 25 cents or 50 cents for the unmanned Tolls. Follow the 417 South until you come to exit 2. Leave the Highway, pay at the Toll and follow the road to the right, go along the road and move over to the left lane. You will arrive at a set of traffic lights and here you will need to turn left onto the 192 West.Follow the 192 West for approximately 5 minutes and you will see a green sign for highway 27 1 mile. As you approach the end of the 192 follow the signs for Highway 27 North (Clermont/Turnpike).As soon as you join highway 27 you need to make a U-turn and come South bound on the Highway 27 and in a few 100 yards you will see High Grove on your right hand side. Enter into High Grove and take your first turn right, this will lead you on to 431 Summer Place Loop.
