The Western Ireland region
Walking ¼ miles. Coastal walks ½ miles. Fishing 1 miles. Traditional Music, Cinema, Childrens Playground 7 miles.
This cosy traditional retreat is set a stroll from the beach less than a mile from beautiful Cleggan village 7 miles from the vibrant and popular town of Clifden. Offering comfortable, welcoming accommodation you are sure to be impressed, while the front garden looks out over the surrounding countryside and towards the sea. You will be spoilt for choice with deep sea angling, lake fishing, boat trips to Inishturk and Inishbofin, beaches all available within a mile radius. Come evening feast on the freshest of seafood and have the 'craic' in one of the local pubs.
Clifden 7 miles away is generally regarded as the 'Capital of Connemara'. Clifden is situated within easy reach of many of the other interesting places in west Connemara — from Maam Cross to the Atlantic and northwards to Killary Harbour and the Partry Mountains on the south Mayo border. This sparsely populated region of superb scenic grandeur is dominated by the rocky mountain-range known as the Twelve Bens (Na Beanna Beola), and has inspired many famous painters and writers over the years.

"cosy, clean, right beside a really beautiful beach. weather amazing"
The house was clean and cosy, but could do with a little update. Even just paint was a white..but the house had all we needed for a really nice stay. Cleggan is amazing had beautiful walks, amazing beaches and stunning views that took you breath away.... Can't wait to go there next year as a family we all really enjoyed it.x
