Your own home away from home with plenty of space and privacy, ideally located on Florida's Gulf Coast just minutes from many of America’s best beaches and situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Tarpon, just north of Clearwater.

On the shores of beautiful Lake Tarpon in the small and quaint town of Palm Harbor, just north of the famous beach resort of Clearwater with mile after mile of white sandy beaches all the way down to St Petersburg.

Many of the local beaches regularly make the top ten beaches in America beating off competition from California and Hawaii!

We are also just south of the well-known tourist town of Tarpon Springs with it's famous sponge docks.

The big and exciting city of Tampa together with it's International Airport is just 30 minutes away, with the major theme parks in Orlando only 90 minutes drive away.

Come stay with us and you will find you can relax and recharge your batteries in a quiet and comfortable setting yet just minutes away you have all the activities and amenities that you could ever wish for!

Relax by the heated pool (which has solar panels) and in the Jacuzzi and enjoy the waterfront environment.

On your doorstep are an abundance of malls, restaurants, parks, beaches, golf courses, cinemas and endless activities for everyone - regardless of age.

Lake Tarpon Villas is a modern, stylish, quiet, low-level apartment complex with direct access to seven-mile long Lake Tarpon (Florida's second largest lake) which is great for fishing and water skiing.

Apartments look out onto water, boardwalks and boat docks. A gas-grill-BBQ is on the decking right by the water. A notable feature is the peace and tranquility of the view.

We have our own boat dock and next door is a boatyard which hires boats. Also next door is a great restaurant and bar which you can walk to.

We bought in this area because we wanted a home in a relaxing and homely part of Florida where you can enjoy the peace and serenity of watching the sun go down on some of the best white sandy beaches in the whole of America.

Although we are in an area with so much to do and see, we made sure we bought in a beautiful quiet spot so you can choose from the best of both worlds.

Our unique advantage over most normal properties is the superb location on the waters of Lake Tarpon. The boats, decking and palms make this a lovely setting for your dream vacation.

You can fish off the decking and see eagles and many other beautiful birds. It is peaceful and tranquil yet the area we are in is full of malls, shops and excellent restaurants - and just minutes from beaches that have been voted the very best in the whole of America (and don't forget that includes Hawaii).

Inside the apartments we have made sure they are comfortable, clean and well-equipped with everything you need to be able to sit back and relax.

The apartment is designed to make your stay a comfortable and relaxing one.

It comes complete with all vital appliances and utensils together with free Cable TV with over 80 channels, DVD player, telephone with free local calls and computer with free high-speed Internet access.

Our ground-level spacious one-bedroom apartment downstairs has a queen-size bed and one bathroom. The large sofa bed in the living room enables you to sleep four with ease.

The living room and dining area has a superb view of the water of Lake Tarpon.

The patio doors open out into the very large patio area with sofa, chairs and table, which is screened off – an ideal spot for a drink at sunset.

Just outside on the decking is the gas-grill-BBQ right by the water.

Note that we also have a 2-bed apartment also for rent.

Further details outdoors:
There is an open-air heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sun loungers and picnic tables where you can relax alongside the boat docks and waterside. Next-door is a boatyard from which pontoon boats can be hired and docked adjacent to the apartments at our own private mooring. Just over the road is a multiplex cinema.

Getting Here

Tampa International Airport is just 30 minutes away, with the major theme parks in Orlando only 90 minutes away.

Distances

We are just 8 miles north of famous Clearwater beach. Other fabulous beaches much closer i.e. Caladesi Island which in 2008 was voted best beach in the whole of America!

Theme Parks

You are within easy reach of Disney World, Epcot Centre, Universal Studios, MGM Studios, Sea Life, and all the other attractions in Orlando.

On your doorstep in Tampa, you have a theme park, Busch Gardens, famous for having some of the best roller coasters in Florida.

There are major sporting teams such as the SuperBowl champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Devil Rays baseball team. You can also watch spring training for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Nearby is the Pinellas Trail which is 47 miles long where you can walk, run, bike, jog, or rollerblade and the fabulous Anderson Park is less than a mile away.

There are endless other activities for everyone such as great shopping at the malls, water sports, scuba diving, snorkeling, museums (i.e. Salvador Dali), art galleries, gambling at the Hardrock casino in Tampa, bowling, zoos, cruises, concerts, nightlife, parks, fishing, cinemas, sailing, shelling, biking, tennis, racquetball, basketball, shuffleboard, horseriding, miniature golf, local library, live theater, sightseeing, waterskiing, windsurfing, parasailing, jet skiing, rafting and swimming with Manatees or Dolphins.

Coast/Beach

Nearby are the well-known and lively beach resorts of Clearwater and St. Petersburg.

Just 10 minutes away we have the quieter beaches of Honeymoon Island, Sunset Beach, Caladesi Island and Fred Howard Park.

These hidden gems are often listed in the top 10 best beaches in America (beating competition in California and Hawaii!).

Tarpon Springs is a renowned port just up the road, famous for it's ethnic Greek community diving for sponges.

Golf

Plenty of good value courses nearby including the world famous Westin Innisbrook (hosts USA PGA tour event), Wentworth Golf club and the Lansbrook Golf course.

Restaurants

Florida is renowned for good value, delicious food, usually served in large portions! Menus include a wide selection from ethnic Italian or gourmet French to "down home" barbecue, juicy steaks or fresh fish caught daily. All of these are close by as well as lots of fast-food chains.

Supermarkets

There are numerous supermarkets (including Wal-Mart and Publix) less than a mile away as well as other shops and malls.

“Great value for a couple” A smaller apartment, accommodating 2 people is not easy to find in Florida but this one is just perfect; as described and good value. The bed was comfy (not too firm) and the kitchen was clean and easy to use. I liked that we had our own washer/dryer and use of a computer. The lanai and decking were out of the sun, which was a shame in December, but I think that will be a thankful bonus during the hotter months. We still enjoyed the use of them during the evening. Close by, along the coast are cycle paths and numerous parks for watching the abundant wildlife. The only access to the villas is via the busy US19. Thankfully, it does have a pavement which we used to cycle to Anderson Park to the north and Publix supermarket to the south. The Francis Wilson Playhouse, Clearwater is a worthy evening's entertainment.

“A Piece of Heaven” All you could ask for, a home from home. The views are awesome onto the lake and it is so peaceful. Lovely to sit out on the patio in the evening knowing the bugs couldn't get to us and watch the world go by slowly and peacefully. Tarpon Springs a must visit a piece of Greece in Florida. Florida Aquarium in Tampa also a place to visit with a boat trip around the bay to see the wild dolphins and pay extra for the penguin experience I've never laughed so much. The beaches a stone throw away and beautiful. Orlando only a 90 mins drive and did this journey a couple of times with no stress. We can honestly say this has been one of the best holidays we have been on and this is our 12th visit to Florida. Many thanks to Mark.

“Excellent Accomodation and closeness to Tampa Airport” Despite that we are 70 years of age we are frequent travellers to most parts of the world and are very critical if things are not up to our expectations. From the initial contact with the owner we were very impressed with all aspects of the holiday from the excellent directions from the airport to the small details of where the best beaches and eating houses were situated. From our own point of view we were very satisfied that we had chosen this property. To our surprise our deposit was returned well witrhin the time scale stated by the owner,but we did leave the property in a clean and tidy condition as it was when we arrived.

“A truly marvellous holiday” Want to say that we had a truly marvellous holiday once again – our fourth stay at your apartments we feel like residents now. So much wildlife to see in the local parks and the local restaurants even know us now. Still finding new parks, Wall Springs the current favourite, we have returned home feeling relaxed and many years younger – wonderful, thank you. Carol (and John) Eabry
