The studio / apartment has a simple but functional bright open plan aspect. Romantic cosy bedroom is reached through an archway. Separate bathroom and WC. This is our fourth season, the studio is upgraded each season.
Clean, tidy and uncluttered inside yet has everything you will need (and probably more) for your break.
Log fire & central heating if needed in the winter with a starlight ceiling in the bedroom for those snug romantic evenings in.
You will never have heard silence in the night like this !
TV & CD player with a vast range of CDs available with English satellite television.
Double or 2 single beds as preferred.

* 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings. The full balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to your holiday.
* A refundable 200 Euro (or Sterling equivalent) deposit to be lodged with us upon arrival against accidental breakages or damage.
* It is expected that the apartment would be left in a clean condition.
* Meet & greet arrival :- To ensure top quality and worry free arrival of all guests,
upon departure 52 Euro is asked for > Meet & greet reception, linen, cleaning and checking out etc.
* We advise guests to take out appropriate insurance cover 'just in case' you are forced to cancel your break.
* We recommend that you also insure all your personal belongings during your holiday wherever you may visit.
* During low season heating is non-inclusive.
* Other than the above items there are no other extra charges you need to budget for.
* During your stay you will be left to your own devices, but should you need any assistance during your break we are available.
The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region
Due to its immense beauty and climate, the department of the VAR is one of the most visited regions of France, with the famous seaside ports and towns such as St Tropez, Frejus, Port Grimaud, with there fine sandy beaches, coves and Islands.
Inland, in the heartland of the region, the vast forests, plunging canyons such as Gorges du Verdon, waterfalls, lakes and caves, seductive perched hilltop villages, vineyards, lavender fields, glorious lively daily markets and superb gastronomic restaurants.
Impressive and stimulating golf courses, fantastic biking roads, water sports and even skiing in the winter if you still have the energy!
The Claviers area
Sitting at an altitude of 400metres with a population of just 597 people, Claviers is one of the smallest, unspoilt perched medieval villages in the region. Leading from the central square, a labyrinth of tiny passageways will guide you along side tall medieval buildings and archways sometimes a gap reviles stunning scenery and views out over forests and farms.
Stop on your way to the other side of town for a drink at one of the bars or restaurants before seeing the dramatic view down the valley onto the popular town of Bargemon. By foot there are miles upon miles of mountainous track ways for hiking, passing through vineyards, forests and fields, while using motorised transport opens up a plethora of local places to see and visit catering for all budgets and tastes. Claviers is just 23miles (38km) from the coast (Frejus) and 28miles (46km) from the Gorges du Verdon.

By Car:- Travelling from the UK you would exit the A8 ‘Auto route’ (Motorway) at ‘Le Muy’.
By Air :- Fly to Nice: 'Easy Jet' offer cheap flights. At Nice Airport, choose from one of the many budget car hire firms. The apartment is 81km (51miles) away, the trip will take about 1 and a half hours much of the journey on the A8 motorway.
By Train:- We would be happy to greet you at the nearest train station of ‘Les Arces’.

Tim and Kim are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Our stay was very enjoyable. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The fire made it cosy in the cool April evenings. The kitchen although small is quite adequate for cooking, which we did on several occasions. It was so very quiet and relaxing there especially at night. This was our first visit to the hills of the Var, and as the driver, I was a bit intimidated by the terrain and the roads, but after the first couple of days it was no problem. We really appreciate the unique beauty of this region. After our day trips to Cannes, Nice and Grasse we enjoyed sitting on the patio looking out over the hills, away from the bustle of the cities. We also loved the 'starlight' ceiling. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to friends. |

Tim & Kim were the perfect hosts. Totally recommend staying at the apartment if you're looking for a secluded, private spot but with (car) access to a number of the must-sees in Provence. Only wish we had longer! |

Initially we stayed for 5 nights, loved it so much, we came back for one more on our way back to Nice airport. Location could not be better for exploring beautiful surroundings of Var region. Perfectly positioned from such landmarks as Gorges de Verdon. We would definitely recommend the car for getting around though! The flat itself is very cozy and clean. Very well stocked: we did quite a bit of our own cooking and the barbecue came in very handy! It does have a UK tv which was a bonus as well. But the best part were caring hosts. We were made so welcome, its beyond belief. We came with no food, facing closed shops and restaurants on a bank holiday Monday. Kim, our hostess, actually made us dinner and a pudding!! Both Tim and Kim are very helpful: they have suggested a number of good local shops and restaurants, nice places to visit. We would definitely love to come back and would suggest this beautiful place to anyone. |
