The Granary awarded 4* gold for the 3rd year in succession, offers luxury accommodation for up to 10 adults. Set within 9 acres of grounds and unspoiled views across open countryside a great base to explore the attractions Suffolk has to offer. The accommodation has an open plan contemporary feel to it. Large leather sofas and wooden floors throughout. It can be rented with 3 bedrooms for up to 6 adults or add a family room annexe, extending accommodation to sleep up to 10 persons. All bedrooms have en-suite showers and toilets. Master bedroom has king sized bed, TV and en suite with large whirlpool bath plus shower and toilet. Family bedroom annexe, is spacious and sleeps up to 4 adults in a double bed and 2 full sized bunk beds, with en-suite shower, bath and toilet.

Outside there is a private patio area with BBQ equipment. Complimentary use of extensive games room.

Secure parking and Wi Fi also included. Combined with our luxury Yurts we can accommodate up to 24 persons.

Optional 9 seater Canadian hot tub also available.

Feed the lovely American Miniature horses, and Pedro our lovely donkey

Sit and relax with a glass of wine while you watch the sun setting over the pond and at dusk watch the bats as they come out looking for food.

We are frequently visited by deer, rabbits and foxes.

The perfect get away and under an hour from London.

Suffollk Retreats is set in the heart of the countryside but with good road links and easy access to the many historical site and places of interest that Suffolk has to offer. Ideal for families or couples.

Nearest Town Clare: 3 miles away.

Clare

Visit Clare with its many antique shops plus the ruins at Clare Priory and Church. Also renowned for its wonderful walks.

Long Melford - boasts many fine pubs and both Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall are well worth a visit for a family afternoon out.

Lavenham steeped in history famous for having some of the oldest medieval houses in the country, wonderful church plus restaurants and tea rooms.

Newmarket with its fine horse racing events plus Newmarket nights which hosts various concerts. Tours of the gallops can be arranged and a visit to the Newmarket horse museum is highly recommended

The old market town of Bury St Edmunds is just 30 minutes drive. With a wealth of shops, local market, restaurants, cinema plus the wonderful Abbey Cathedral, ruins and Gardens.

The popular university city of Cambridge is just 40 minutes drive. With cobbled street, and quaint shops. This amazing university city is well worth a visit. Why not try punting on the river Cam?

Local Farmers markets / Golf Courses / Tea Rooms / Antique Shops / Local Pubs and fine restaurants / shops and galleries all within easy reach.

"Fantastic facilities in a beautiful setting"

When we arrived we were blown away by the beautiful countryside setting. Despite only being an hour-hour and a half from London it feels incredibly peaceful. The gardens are wonderful with a huge pond with hundreds of fish and various other animals such as minature horses and even reindeer! In terms of the accomodation itself, the facilities are fantastic. The Granary was incredibly spacious with a large lounge and kitchen area, three good size bedrooms which are all en-suite and an additional bathroom. As well as this, the seperate games room was fantastic with a pool table, table football table, air hockey table and darts which were all free to use. Despite mainly going for a peaceful break there was plenty to do nearby - the pub within a 10 minute walk did some great food and you are within driving distance of Cambridge, Bury-St-Edmunds as well as beautiful country houses, churches and cathedrals. The owners were great, showing us around the facilities without ever intruding on our privacy. I highly recommend the Granary and would love to come back - maybe to stay in one of the Yurts!

"Everything you could want"

we were a group of 3 couples staying in The Granary and we could not fault it. Very Clean, well equipped, spaceous and well thought out to the finest detail. Brian was very helpful and even when we decided to stay an extra night no issue was made. The local pub at the top of the road had live bands and the local spa was a hit with the girls. Clare itself has a stunning country park and some great little antique and boutique shops if you want a stroll. I could not recommend this place enough.

"Amazing..... Attention to detail second to none"

We were looking for a relaxing few days away..... Following much research on the internet we came across The Granary, from that moment it did not fail to impress! The booking process was seamless, the welcome on arrival was friendly and informative, the the granary itself was amazing, with such high level of detail and finish. The grounds that the The Granary are set in are lovely and it was good to be able to enjoy the outdoors, in such a lovely/picturesque part of the country. The Granary was ideal for our needs and I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a let property in the Clare area, you will NOT be disappointed........
