Chez Tournesol is Traditional farmhouse. Finished and fitted to the highest standards. The Farmhouse sleeps 4,but will accommodate a cot and extra single bed if needed. WIFI is available with English TV and DVD' players. Beautiful Art Deco bathroom. All linen and pool towels provided. Beautiful log burning stove. Damage deposit of £100.00 is payable with balance which is payable 8 weeks before holiday start date.
non payment of balance at requested time ,will result in the holiday dates being made available for rebooking.
Damage deposit will be retained in the event of any damage to the gite or it's contents.
Pack and Go optional cleaning charge £34.00
Pets welcome Dog accomodation charge £30.00 per gite per stay.

On the Atlantic coast, between the châteaux and the castles of the Loire Valley and the Bordeaux vineyards, lies Poitou-Charentes, one of the sunniest parts of the French western coast. This region is peaceful and beautiful with lots to see and do for all the family or couples
Inland, the scene is one of serenity, with vast horizons and wooded valleys, the soothing tranquility of canals, the valley of Vienne, the foothills of Charente and the Cognac vineyards.
The Civray area
Futuroscope, cinematic theme park, Poitiers;Monkey Valley (20 km - lovely day out for children). a must for families Poitiers, Limoges, Angouleme - cities with much of interest. Cognac for Hennessey, Remy-Martin, Martell distilleries. River Vienne for river activities. Charroux - medieval town. Civray (14 km) - beautiful Romanesque church. thriving market with lots of stalls.. Motor Racing circuit at Val de Vienne (20km). Way-marked, secluded local walks. Good restaurants easily reached.

We stayed here briefly on a B & B basis and cannot praise highly enough the warmth and friendliness of the hosts. The gite is cosy and welcoming and in a lovely location. Evening meal is highly recommended. |

The hosts were relaxed and informative and provided a comfortable well maintained environment with a pool which is a good size and well equipped with toys for both children and adults. The location is perfect with very easy access and a good choice of shopping venues and markets. Their own free range chickens egg' s were delicious. In the local region there are many activities to keep teenagers adults and children active including swimming lakes with various water activities including water skiing lessons. Closer to home, Civray has a beautiful riverside park with walks and for those of an athletic nature workout routines to follow. An excellent holiday with beautiful weather. We hope to return in the very near future. |
