The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The South Costa Blanca is a region boasting some of the most beautiful beaches in Spain. Beaches are blue flag, cleaned every morning and the water is clear. There are an array of watersports including pedaloes, jetskis, water skiing, wind surfing, etc.
There are many fine white sandy beaches in the area bordering the Mediterranean Sea and there are quaint villages both near the sea and inland where true Spain lives. The abundance of orange and lemon groves contrast with the picturesque mountain scenery in the background. The salt lakes of Torrevieja are renowned for their healing qualities.
The towns of Guardamar, Santa Pola and Elche (the palm tree capital of Europe) are 10 to 15 minutes drive away and are well worth a visit for shopping and sight seeing. The front at Alicante has a wonderful marina, a floodlit castle overlooking the bay and every conceivable type of cuisine is catered for. The shops in Alicante are very good and of course the famous El Corte Ingles is a must visit.
For the kids the place to go is Terra Mitica, a large theme park near Benidorm (60 minutes away). It is themed into different worlds and the rides are great. Benidorm also has golf, a nature reserve, water park and seaworld. Torrevieja is 10 minutes away and has great water parks. For nightlife Torrevieja has it all with its casinos, clubs, restaurants and bars and during the day there are excellent shops, a marina and a bustling port with ‘Hippy Market’ and fun fair.
There are a number of golf courses within a few minutes drive including La Marquesa, Campoamor, Las Ramblas, Villamartin and La Finca. The famous La Manga Golf Club is 45 minutes south.
Approx 7 km away is Torrevieja, famous for its salt lakes with their mineral rich mud. Fantastic for the skin and great for health too! It's a lively town with a water park, fun fair, markets, shops, restaurants, clubs, international port, beautiful beaches and stunning promenade with a variety of activities to suit all ages.
Approximate 20 mins drive is the Mar Menor with a wealth of towns of interest including San Pedro (where you can watch the fish brought in fresh each morning), Pilar De La Horadada and San Javier. Less than 50 mins south you also have La Manga which, along with its' famous 'strip' is host to the infamous La Manga Golf Club.
Staying local also has its attractions with many bars and restaurants with a choice of restaurants offering a wide range of food from Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Mexican etc. There is also typically good spanish restaurants and tapas bars nearby.
Ciudad Quesada, Rojales / Benijofar / Benimar area
The range of activities available in the area is suitable for both children and adults. It is the perfect place for a beach holiday; family holiday; active holiday or golfing holiday.
The new development of Benimar is close and within walking distance to the small spanish villages of Rojales and Benijofar, both of which have fantastic weekly markets. The nearby Aquapark is located only a few mins away. There is also minigolf nearby and a kiddies playpark 2 minutes from the villa. The property also benefits from having a few bars/restaurant nearby only 2 mins walk from the villa.
There are many local fiestas throughout the year with the main celebrations taking place during Easter and the Summer months.
How to get there
You can fly to either Alicante or Murcia Airports from most UK airports. Our property is approximately 30 mins by car/taxi from both Murcia and Alicante. Flights available through Ryanair Easyjet etc. Local taxis are readily available or alternatively pick-ups can be arranged. Car hire is available from both airports (eg. www.europa.com/www.economycarhire.com).

The solarium has separate table and chairs, parasol and sun loungers, perfect for soaking up the rays or watching the sun go down with your favourite drink. During fiestas you will have the perfect view for all local fireworks displays. Situated in a very quiet residential area only a few minutes to all local bars, restaurants.
