The County Derry region
The walled city of Derry, the world famous Giant's Causway, the Carrick-na-rede Rope bridge, the Glens of Antrim, the hills and towns of Donegal, beautiful unspoilt coastline and beaches, numerous championship golf courses and of course the natural hospitality of the Northern Irish people are just a few of the delights to be sampled & enjoyed.
City of Derry / Londonderry / Limavady area
The nearby Georgian town of Limavady (10 minutes drive) is known as the home of "Danny Boy"as it was here that the famous tune was first written down.
Limavady is a bustling small town with many shops, pubs, coffee shops,restaurants etc and located on its outskirts is the beautiful Roe Valley Country Park.
A short drive in the other direction (10 minutes) brings you to Caslerock, with the famous Mussenden Temple- one of the most photographed & easily recognised places in the country, Downhill House, the Black Glen and Hezlett House all owned and managed by the National Trust & of course miles of beautiful beaches.
How to get there
Swallow's Rest is situated on the A2 which is the main tourist route around Northern Ireland. We are located on the famous Causway coast in an area of outstanding natural beauty just 20 kilometres from Londonderry in one direction, and 18 kilometres from Coleraine in the other.
Just down the road is the Magilligan to Greencastle (Donegal) car ferry and the beautiful Benone Beach (at 7 miles of golden sand it's one of the longest in Ireland). It is ideally placed for exploring all the many attractions that Northern Ireland has kept hidden for years.
We are 1 hour by car from the main Belfast International Airport, 15 minutes from the City of Derry Airport and 90 minutes from the main Belfast or Larne Ferry Terminals.

Cancellation within 8 weeks of booking date will result in loss of deposit.
