Our guests regularly call our home a "home away from home".

You will have a private home, with a 10M Swimming Pool, entertaining area, and huge living spaces all to yourself for your stay! Our property is a standalone home located in a natural oasis .

It is a traditional family home in a family neighbourhood, with a large pool and a leafy back yard situated in the safe, and flood free, central Brisbane suburb of Enoggera (6 kilometres to CBD).

The home is ideally suited to those visiting Brisbane and South East QLD, renovators, or families relocating to Brisbane.

Public transport is at either end of the street - within 5 mintues walk, a cab will cost you around $35.00 to the city.

The home backs on to a popular family park, and Little Sandy Creek. The bushy nature of the area attracts all types of Aussie wildlife.

The Kedron Brook bike and walkway is located close by which provides great cycling and walking trails all the way to Nudgee Beach and Bondall Wetlands.

Royal Brisbane hospital or Queensland University of Technology campus are a short 10 minute bus ride.

Suncorp Stadium is around 10 minutes away, as is Southbank and the EKKA grounds. This is a great property if your visit involves a footy game or major concert/show.

QPAC and Southbank is around 15 minutes away by train, bus or car.

You will also find a range of cafe's and takeaway stores and the RSL Club within walking distance or major shopping centres a short bus ride or walk away!

The Gold Coast or Sunshine coast beaches and attractions are an easy day trip (depending upon traffic around 1.5 hours each way).

Beaches popular with windsurfers, fisherman and swimmers, such as those on the Redcliffe Peninsula and Nudgee are around 30 minutes away.

Nature lovers have access to a range of local walking trails and a 10 minute drive will have you bushwalking in D'Aigular National Park.

The home features 1.5 bathrooms, laundry facilities, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher.

Lounge with flat screen TV and DVD.

Bedrooms have polished timber floors and the living areas are tiled.

It offers plenty of room to relax and spread out, both inside and out. You are not staying in the home with anyone else.

The split level home will comfortably accommodate 6 people, with an option for an additional 2 (please inquire).

There is a private 10M swimming pool and rear deck with BBQ overlooking parkland, ideal for enjoying Brisbane summers.

Off street parking is available for 2 cars, and there is room for a boat or caravan.

The train station is a 5 minute walk, therefore it is easy to get around without a car.

The home and entertainment areas are non-smoking - smoking is permitted outside.

Basic linen and towels are provided, although you need to provide your own pool towels. Long stays may wish to bring their own.

IMPORTANT: Pricing is based on the number of people booked and bedding/linen used.

Additional person charges apply where additional bedding is used - from $20.00pp

The home is not serviced during your stay - although this is available for an addtional fee if required.

A refundable security deposit of $500.00 per stay is payable, it may be higher for large groups.

An exit cleaning fee of $125.00 is payable per stay. Stays over 4 weeks will incur $250.00 exit clean fee. If the property is left excessively dirty additional cleaning charges will apply

Why charge a cleaning fee? This helps keep our nightly price down, rather than adding a per night charge we just charge the supplemental cleaning fee.

Cancellation: We do not refund for late arrivals or early departures, or if you don't like something about the property (we try to describe accurately, if you have questions ask before booking).

The Queensland region

Brisbane is sometimes called the River City, enjoying a balmy climate most of the year, although it can get chilly in Winter!

Many of the suburbs are on, or close by the river and the various beaches within an hour or so of the city.

From October to April you will find most Brisbane people out enjoying the water and the sunshine!

Many Brisbane people take advantage of the facilities located along the city reaches of the river - Southbank parklands and its manmade lagoons, weekend markets, restaurants and cafes, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) , Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and the Wheel of Brisbane.

A popular visitor past time is boarding the commuter ferries to explore the reaches of the River - a great way to see the city.

Moreton Island, a large sand island, located around 50 kilometres north east of Brisbane, is very popular with visitors and locals alike. The Tangalooma ferry will take you across to the island, where you can feed dolphins or swim in the crystal clear waters. The Tangalooma ferry is around 30 minutes drive from Enoggera.

Brisbane

Enoggera is a traditional Brisbane suburb, with a mix of housing including Queenslanders, post war homes and many built in the 1960's. It is very centrally located and close to most amenities.

Its proximity to Brisbane City makes for easy access to Brisbane city attractions by a range of very accessible public transport and road options. Under normal circumstances, the city is less than 10 minutes away by car, and 15 by train.

In the general area you will find a range of parks, Kedron Brook and surrounding nature reserves, sporting fields, shopping and restaurant facilities.

A 30 minute drive will take you to Mount Glorious and D'Aigular National Park, where you can bushwalk and observe a range of Australian wildlife. The Brisbane River, and various beaches (Bribie Island, Redcliffe, Gold Coast) are all within an easy drive.

Enoggera is also home to the Gallipoli Army Barracks.

"Comfortable home, plenty of room, close to everything-transport , with pool"

We had a family gathering to attend in the city, the place is right near the rail so public transport is there if needed, taxis cost $30 for maxi cab.Cheap!
The house is nicely presented with comfortable beds, veranda for relaxing and great size pool.
Definately wouldnt hesitate staying again.

"exceptional value for a wonderful property"

Couldn't believe how close this place was to Brisbane, particularly by train and how it seemed like a million miles away. Took the children for one of my business trips and made the trip far more enjoyable than staying in a city hotel. Like a home away from home.

Many thanks to the owners for being so accommodating when we needed some extra information.

The pool looked inviting but even Brisbane was a bit cold for us NSW folk this time of year.

"Good location for exploring Brisbane area"

Sandy creek is well located to explore Brisbane and local area. It is close to the railway station making it easy to get into Brisbane. The facilities are good and as posted. The pool is excellent especially after a hard day exploring.
