Mayfly Cottage is a gorgeous and traditional Cotswold cottage tucked away on the edge of the truly stunning Cotswold village of Col St Aldwyns. Sitting in the grounds of the owners fabulous, home this classic cottage enjoys a beautiful location with mature woodland and open countryside surrounding it, plus a garden which overlooks the River Coln. Heavenly!
Originally converted from an old barn some 200 years old, the whole cottage has been lovingly cared for so as to retain the character that you would expect. The old owl hole, original beams and loft remain, whilst central heating and the high standard of equipment ensure complete comfort whatever the season. Country walks can begin from the doorstep and the centre of the village with its excellent pub and village stores is only a five minute stroll. This is a very popular cottage with many guests returning year after year - you will understand!

Bathroom with bath, shower over, WC & hand-basin. (Please note towels are not supplied at this property)

Balcony style Bedroom with double bed and vaulted ceiling, plus chest of drawers.

The property sits in the grounds of the owners home, however, there is private space for guests use, while the owners are happy for guests to use their garden also. The River Coln runs through the garden, which is simply gorgeous

Guestbook for Mayfly Cottage
Our stay at Mayfly Cottage was very enjoyable ,a beautiful setting ,owners friendly and house sitter. The cottage was clean and a very good choice on price and setting. (The dripping tap needs mending and maybe better path to cottage as its at present stepping stones in grass ,cottage is carpeted , so its shoes off every time you come in as grass is a little muddy, it was February though!) No big deal though! Good cycling country ,hard to find a ugly property round about churches interesting and all the food (cafes pubs ) we had out was good value and good quality

All weeks (or short breaks) which include a Bank Holiday are charged at the High Season Rate. February Half Term is charged at Mid Season Rate. Cheltenham Festival, Badmington, Blenheim Horse Trials and Game Fair Weeks are charged at Xmas Rates in appropriate cottages.
A 2 or 3 night break costs 75% of the weekly rate
A 4 night break costs 85% of the weekly rate
5 nights and over are charged at the full weekly rate.
Costs include heating electricity and bed linen. Payment can be taken by cheque, debit card (preference) or credit card (subject to 2% charge).
