Fishing, three all weather tennis courts, one of which is floodlit, a superb children’s adventure playground, football, croquet, la boule, volleyball, table tennis and cricket and golf practice nets. The Games Room, which is ideally located within the tennis pavilion, provides pool, table top football and video games. Alternatively, just enjoy a pleasant walk around the beautiful lakes.
In addition to being within easy reach of many picturesque Cotswold villages and the splendour of Roman towns like Cirencester and Bath, the Cotswold Water Park makes a great holiday destination because of the tremendous variety of activities on offer. Today the Cotswold Water Park is Britain’s largest water park, 50% larger than the Norfolk Broads, extending to over 40 square miles and includes: 133 lakes, 5 nature reserves, Country Parks with picnic and Barbecue sites, a Blue Flag bathing beach, an extensive network of footpaths, cycle ways and bridleways as well as extensive leisure and sporting activities. Many Cotswold attractions and villages are all within easy access.

The Cotswolds is considered to be one of the most beautiful parts of England, with its lush, green rolling countryside scattered with honey coloured Cotswold stone villages, many of which contain a good country pub. The area spans Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, and contains many beautiful market towns including Cirencester, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford and Chipping Camden, all of which are well known across the globe and considered to be the epitome of quaintness.
The Cirencester area
Our properties are all located in and around the Cotswold Waterpark, which is about four miles outside of Cirencester. The Waterpark is made up of almost 150 lakes and covers an area of 40 square miles. Nearly all of the lakes are man-made through the extraction of gravel and have either been left to nature upon completion, which has resulted in some magnificent wildlife habitats or managed for a rapid recovery and the provision of a variety of leisure activities. Whether the lakes have been left to their own devices or serve a specific function, they all blend effortlessly into the landscape.
The location makes it perfect for visiting many places of interest including Oxford, Cheltenham and Bath with many stately homes and gardens in the area. Excellent base for the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Womad.
Day memberships available for the David Lloyd Health & Fitness Centre. Facilities include 2 x heated swimming pools, kids splash pool, jacuzzi, state of the art gym, badminton and tennis courts plus spa treatments (additional costs apply), bar and restaurant, children's den and creche (additional costs apply).

We came over from Northern Ireland and stayed in this property for two weeks in July 2010 with our 4 children, then aged 1 to 9. This is the second time we had stayed in the area, the first being a week at Oaksey - which was also lovely and worth a look. The property is well decorated and furnished with modern kitchen, bathroom and ensuite. The decking to the rear overlooks the lake and has a BBQ. Overall very modern and comfortable. Our only comment is that we had a heatwave when we were there and the upstairs was very very hot at night, even with the windows open and fan that the owners had provided. (the properties are townhouses of wooden construction). Also, there isn't much storage room in the third bedroom (with the bunk beds). Neither if these were major issues. The site is a large park with lakes and amenities, includingTennis court, play area, table tennis, football area for the kids, indoor play area and games room. The kids really enjoyed using the facilities. The property is well located with many villages nearby, all with family friendly Pubs and places to eat out. There is lots to do in the area, including several National Trust properties, man-made beach and lakes, cycle hire and within reach of Longleat and many cotswolds villages. Huffkins coffee shop in Burford is well worth a visit! Overall, good accommodation in a wonderful development and really well located for Cirencester and the Cotswolds. Highly recomended for a family holiday or break. |
