"Lovely cottage in a great location"
We loved this cottage stay. The cottage was clean and warm, and REALLY well equipped. There were enough kitchen utensils for a few nights cooking, a bbq we made the most of and some food and drink lef… More

"Great location great house"
We booked this lodge for a weekend away with friends, three couples in total. We had a fabulous time. The lodge was in a stunning location with the option to be as active or as lazy as you wanted, the complex was great, so many things to do. It was only a half an hour walk away from the village which had three pubs, two which we visited.
We found the property very well equipped throughout, the sky tv was a bonus on a rainy day and the decking area great when the sun shone.
We did have one complaint though, the hot water system was inadequate for six people. It took eight hours to heat a tank, so after two people had showered in the morning there was no hot water all day until later on in the evening. With six adults needing to shower everyday, it wasn't good enough.
This house would have gotten a five star review if not for the water issue.
But we still managed to have a great weekend.
We are very sorry about the hot water situation - unfortunately it was a faulty hot water tank. We have now installed a new larger hot water tank.

"Immaculate but Cosy Holiday Rental"
Staying at this property over the Christmas period really was a great choice. On arrival the cottage was immaculate (by my own very high standards) and even had some Christmas decs. Bedding and towels all very clean and comfortable. All of the beds were to a high standard, ensuring the stay was a comfortable one! Kitchen appliances and cookware were spot on.
Everything was geared up to ensure that the party could relax in comfort during the stay. We had some lovely walks by the lakes.
Booking and deposit refund was made very easy by Adrian.
Would certainly recommend as a getaway amongst family or friends.

"clean and spacious, though homely"
Downstairs was a bit chilly on our first evening, due to night storage heating- we cuddled up with blankets, and the following evening was beautifully warm. There was plenty of space at the lodge; our family consists of four boys aged 9, 12, 15 and 18. The boys enjoyed the tennis on-site. We had a drizzly weekend, though I imagine the lodge would be fabulous in the summer, with the patio doors opening on to a veranda with a large table. We had an issue with the Sky/tv, and Adrian very kindly sorted this out promptly although we were only staying for a long weekend. My only bugbear is a problem we often find when renting for our family- no large saucepans (so we have to use 2 when cooking pasta etc).
Thanks very much for taking the time to do a review. We are just about to replace one of the storage heaters with a top end log effect electric fire and we have also noted the saucepan issue :)
