DIRECTIONS TO THE LOWER MILL ESTATE:

• M4 Junction 15 Swindon
• North on A419 to Cirencester
• Turn left to B4696 Spine Road. Signposted to South Cerney
• Go straight over crossroads, following signs to Somerford Keynes
• After 1½ miles turn left down Mill Lane
• Drive down Mill Lane and enter the estate through the cream gates

DIRECTIONS FROM THE M5:

Leave the M5 at Junction 11A whether you are coming from the North or the South and head along the A417Cirencester/Swindon direction. After approximately 16 miles on the A419,
take the Spine Road junction, signposted for the Cotswold Water Park. Head towards Ashton Keynes and Oaksey.

Continue for about 1¼ miles until you reach a staggered cross roads (signposted Oaksey), go straight over and Lower Mill Estate is on the left after approximately 1½ miles. Turn left into the lane and continue until you reach the second set of gates on your right hand side, which are ornamental cream gates, decorated with bull rushes.

Kemble Railway Station is on the main line from London. The journey takes around 1 hour 15 minutes from London Paddington. Lower Mill Estate is then a ten minute drive from the station.

“Fantastic modern house in beautiful setting with great activities!” Sunset Lodge is a beautiful, well appointed large house in a great location. We had a weekend away with a group of friends, and had 6 adults, 2 5yr olds, a baby and 2 dogs in this house. It was a perfect size to accommodate us all and it didn't feel like anyone had the short straw when it came to the bedrooms. The location of the house is great, secluded and private with great views yet just next door to the site spa, with gorgeous pools!

“gorgeous!” We had a lovely weekend with my sisters and mum at this gorgeous house on the lower mill estate. The swimming pool at the spa added to the relaxing atmosphere.

“Ideal property for a family gathering” We had a lovely stay over the Easter week and despite the very cold weather we found the property to be very warm and cosy. The house was well equipped and proved to be ideal for a large family break. Jamie, who greeted us was attentive and very helpful during our stay. Unfortunately ease of access to WiFI was limited.

“Wonderful stay - thoroughly recommend” 8 girls rented out this lodge to celebrate a special birthday. Upon arrival we were greeted by a roaring fire and a clean and modern house. The property is arranged over 3 floors and decorated to a high specification. We were literally across the road from the spa, which was absolutely lovely. Most of us paid for a treatment and all said they were very good value! The spa has a lovely steam room, sauna and loungers to relax around the pool - the only thing missing is a Jacuzzi! Due to the weather we weren't able to take advantage of the outdoor pool, but can imagine that this is glorious on a warm day. Most of the weekend was spent relaxing, but we did venture in Cirencester and ate at a fantastic Thai restaurant in the evening. My only word of caution would be to avoid the local pub called the Bakers Arms - over-priced, poor quality food and if you dare to complain you will receive a very aggressive respnse from the owner/manager! Overall, I would thoroughly recommed this lodge if you are looking to get away from it all and hope to be able to come back again!!

“I haven't been on Holiday with my family for 10yrs and this made the wait worthwhile!” I had the pleasure of staying in the Sunset Lodge and wasn't sure what to expect but when I got there it blew my mind! Why? Well because 1st it was incredidibly spacious and lacking absolutely nothing. The rooms were tidy and clean and felt luxurious to the point we were dreading going back home to our "2 up 2 down" hole in the ground. I loved our home until I saw The Sunset and now I want one! The family utilised the gym and Sauna which if it was any closer would have been in the garden however if they wanted to swim, the pool wasn't much further. The farm shop was my particular joy, selling a mean cheddar that was so crumbly i thought it was made by Flake! I'm used to selling the sewers growing up so to have a clear river passing our holiday home was a wonderful experience. Would love to go again, just to make sure that it wasn't a dream. Someday, all holidays will be packaged this way.........

“A thoroughly enjoyable break and a super house” We booked the Sunset Lodge as we have a small Yorkshire Terrier and this seems to be the only property on the estate that permits pets, which we did find quite frustrating. We have to say that the house is terrific, very modern in its design, with lots of glass and is very light and airy feeling, yet most comfortable at the same time. We loved sitting in the lounge with a glass of something cold, with the patio doors fully open + admiring the view down the lake. A thoroughly enjoyable break and a super house - in a hard to beat location. The onsite spa facility quite simply fantastic and was a lovely treat, very much the icing on the cake. We certainly do intend to return at some time in the future and would happily rebook the Sunset Lodge.

“Lovely Lodge in peaceful setting” Myself and four friends stayed at Sunset Lodge for the weekend. The Lodge itself is lovely - very spacious and tastefully furnished. Although it doesn't have a lake view - the ground floor looks out onto marshland and has a little stream running past (from the upper floors you can see Spinney Lake) it benefits from being an 'end' property so is more private than a lot of the other properties on the estate. The meet & greet guy Jamie was most friendly and helpful, even driving out to the main road when we got a bit lost (note: don't go down the yellow signed goods lane by accident!). The Spa was literally a minutes walk away, with gorgeous slate lined swimming pool, steam room and sauna - and the treatments are recommended too - we all had relaxing massages! As we were only there for a couple of days we stayed within the Estate, the lodge is so nice you don't want to venture far, and visiting the ArtSpa but we hope to make this an annual event and the LME is perfectly placed to visit many of the quaint Cotswold villages that surround it. Will absolutely be recommending Sunset Lodge / Lower Mill Estate to friends and family, and we hope to return very soon.
