The Central England/Cotswolds region

The Cotswolds are one of the most ‘quintessential English’ regions in the UK.

It is officially designated as the country’s largest ‘areas of outstanding natural beauty’. Famous for its hillsides, river valley’s and Cotswold Stone Villages, the Cotswolds hold a wealth of history, stunning scenery, fine dining and many varieties of activities for all age levels.

Cirencester

South Cerney, located in the Southern Cotswolds just south of Cirencester, is an attractive village with a variety of local amenities including a Post Office, newsagents, a general store plus a hairdresser, Indian restaurant/takeaway, fish and chip shop and a pharmacy! There are 3 public houses in the village The Old George, The Oak and The Eliot Arms (which also has accommodation).

There is also an 18-hole golf course on the edge of the village within a 10 min walk. Specifically, it is situated in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park with its varied activities including fishing, sailing and cycling to name a few. Although located in the southern area, it is still convenient for visiting many of the Cotswolds' beautiful villages including Burford, Stow on the Wold, and Bourton on the Water as well as bigger towns such as Oxford, Bath and Cheltenham.
