Nicely furnished and comfortable townhouse with all mod cons, garage with internal access. Generous living spaces looking out over the sea, estuary and city lights. Plenty of golf courses and driving ranges to chose from. Tennis court 2 min down the hill. Easy access to main routes south to scenic Fiordland and ski areas or north to wine country and whale watching. Picturesque Akaroa and Banks Peninsula at your back door. Easy international access with Christchurch the main city in the South island. Very easy to join in our community and network with so many other British and international visitors in our area. Weekly rates in NZD are: Spring $550, Summer $660, Autumn $450, Winter $380 (plus power, winter only). Exchange rates fluctuate so expect your pound equivalent to change often! The South Island region

South Island is the most scenic of the islands. At the northern end with the most sunshine hours, there are plenty of vineyards and the beautiful warm Golden Bay. The Kaikoura coast just to the north is famous for whale watching. From here you travel through the mountains to the high Country and the lakes. Further south is Wanaka and Queenstown. From there you can travel further south to noted Milford Sound or the more spectacular Doubtful Sound. The southern coast and Stewart Island are our best secrets and the scenery and activities are superb but little known. The owner has extensive knowlege and can organise your time here to best advantage.


Christchurch / Mt Pleasant area

Mt Pleasant is on the rim of the 10 million year old volcanic crater of Lyttleton Harbour. A scenic road goes along the rim and there are plenty of solitary beaches and harbours to explore. Akaroa is an historic French settlement on the other side of the Peninsula. Two popular beaches are 5 minutes away: Sumner and Taylor's mistake. Surfers and bikers flock to this area. Brighton beach is part of our view and it is a long clean white beach with several surf clubs. Golfing is a favourite and there are 38 clubs in and around the city catering for visitors. As a retail hub for the Island, Christchurch shopping is extensive. And there are plenty of historic areas and buildings to explore as this was one of the earliest settled areas.

Fly into Christchurch International Airport. Contact Omega Rentals or Ace car rentals to hire a car and they will give you a map and directions. You can type 12A Patmos Place, Christchurch on Google map for detailed route.You are best to book car rentals ahead of time as cars can be short in the South Island at certain times. Airport Shuttles are also available. Mt Pleasant and nearby Redcliffs and Sumner are beach communities with cafes, swimming, walking, surfing, small movie house and still only 15 minutes from the Christchurch city centre.

Even an electronic organ! One full bathroom with shower and separate bath downstairs and one separate sink/toilet up stairs. Two storey living with living areas up one flight of stairs.

Generous deck with great views. Complete set of outdoor furniture including barbeque, umbrella, table/chairs. Single car garage with internal access. Small patio garden maintained by owner and very large deck area complete with prolific lemon tree! Sunny indoor and outdoor living year round. Located on a very private cul-de-sac so no traffic noise.The property is considered to be in the best, safest and nicest part of the city. You can hear the breakers down at the beach if the surf is up and yet the city is so close!

Any information re rental or the area freely available from the owner. Smokers are requested to smoke outside on the deck. Dogs are fine. There is a cat door and a dog door. The patio garden is secure for dogs.


Conditions

Property is available for medium (1 week+) and long term stays. Businessmen on week or monthly contracts find it more comfortable than hotel rooms. the summer season commands higher rates than the winter. Snow conditions are generally good after mid June until Mid September High Season is the summer months of December and January.
