Home description
One of Bournemouth's best kept secrets, Wick village is a lovely, peaceful hamlet offering walks along the River Stour which winds its way into Christchurch harbour, and bracing walks onto the headland of Hengistbury. At the same time Bay Trees Cottage is only minutes from the sandy & popular beaches of Southbourne in Bournemouth Bay and all that this popular beach resort has to offer. Christchurch, just across the river from the cottage, is an historic town with its famous Priory and shops, weekly market and festivals. The New Forest is also only a short drive, and offers endless walks, cycle & horseriding routes and a chance to see the wild ponies which are allowed by ancient law to roam at will. Bay Trees cottage is one of the original Wick Farm cottages, and has been tastefully modernised to make your holiday stay enjoyable and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge & sun room and a secluded garden with patio. You can easily walk to the beach, to the harbour and to Christchurch (via the walk on ferry which operates daily from Easter to October to take you across the River Stour). Long term lets are available on this property please contact us for more details.
