Close by is the famous "Run" where salmon are netted, and the sandy beaches of Avon Beach and Friars Cliff are popular with family holidaymakers. Mudeford is accessible from any part of Great Britain and most of Europe. There is continuous motorway or dual carriageway from London and along the South Coast and the A34 provides good access from the Midlands.

Bournemouth Airport services routes from Glasgow and Belfast and a multitude of routes from international destinations with Ryanair, Thomsonfly and Jet2. Southampton Airport also has many domestic flight routes and a direct rail link from the airport to Bournemouth.
