Baan Arun is a spacious Thai style viila built in one of the most sought after locations on Koh Samui and commanding amazing views over Cheongmon Bay and the lush green of the surrounding coconut plantations. It is just ten minutes from the airport and within walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants and spas.

The villa comprises four tastefully furniashed double bedrooms. Three bedrooms have king size beds while the fourth has twin beds. All have superb sea views and large modern en-suite bathrooms with black slate and glass showers. The master bedroom features double wash basins and walk through to an outside bathroom with rain shower and large tiled bath.

The villa comprises two separate buildings. The main building features a large open plan living room with comfortably furnished lounge area equipped with multi-channel flat screen TV/DVD and entertainment system, a formal dining area for eight people, and a well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and stools. The large sliding windows open on to an attractive terrace with table and chairs for eight, two comfortable sun loungers, and a large gas barbecue. The terrace is surrounded with a mass of beautiful bougainvilleas. Two double bedrooms are situated below the living room and open directly on to the pool deck. The second building comprises the master bedroom on the top floor with the twin bedroom below which opens directly on to the pool deck.

The sand stone pool deck has a spectacular view of Cheongmon Bay over the 15 metre kidney shaped, infinity swimming pool. It features four sun loungers and a large sun umbrella with natural rock waterfall at the rear beside a sala incorporating a bar in which to unwind and watch the onset of dusk. The villa is surrounded by a large colourful garden full of tropical plants.

A husband and wife team live unobtrusively below the villa and look after the property. They will be pleased to assist in any way.

The villa is situated within one of the premier estates on Koh Samui encompassing a gated community with 24 hour security. The facilities also include a tennis court.

Ko Samui is in the Gulf of Thailand, about 35 km northeast of Surat Thani town (9°N, 100°E). It is the most significant Island in the Chumphon Archipelago. The island measures some 25 km at its widest point. It is surrounded by about sixty other islands, which together compose the Ang Thong Marine National Park (Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park) and include many other popular tourist destinations, including, Ko Phangan, Ko Tao and Ko Nang Yuan.

Nathon is the major port for vehicular and goods transportation from the mainland, it is the centre of the fishing industry, and remains the seat of the regional government. The majority of the government functions are based here, as is the public hospital. Being the location of the main port and the closest inhabited area to the mainland provided the impetus for Nathon becoming the commercial centre for Samui locals. More recently, the decline in dependence on the local coconut industry, the continued growth and development of the tourist industry, and the northeastern location of the airport, has seen the slow move of the commercial centre to Chaweng.

The central part of the island is an almost uninhabitable tropical jungle mountain called Khao Pom, peaking at 635 m. The various lowland and coastal areas are connected by a single 51 km road, running mostly along the coastline and encircling the bulk of the island.

The beach in Cheong Mon is considered as one of the best beaches on Samui island by Samuians and foreigners. Choegmon village has kept a generally peaceful atmosphere but does have a very good selection of restaurants, shops and spas.

A good mixture of bars as well as the restaurants line the beach.

There are many places to visit where you can enjoy a leisurely lunch, an exotic dinner or a drink whilst looking out over the most beautiful and tranquil ocean. One kilometre across the peninsula is the Big Budda which is one of the main attractions on Koh Samui..

If you are looking for more excitement, then lively Chaweng with its exotic night life, is just 4 kilometres to the south.
