Home description
Arcadia Village is a private community of residential properties located in an upmarket residential area of Chloraka near the beach. The villa (Zephyrus) is only a minute’s walk (100m) from the beach and coastline, and some beautiful coves for swimming and snorkelling. The property itself, is privately set on one level and characterised by the more than apparent attention to detail inside and out, making this a luxurious home from home for any discerning villa renter.
The property which overall extends to around 250 square metres, features private driveway with gates, 3 distinct sun terraces at alternate sides of the house (follow the sun as required) (1 with remote control awning), a privately enclosed roof terrace with great views to the Mediterranean, large living areas with ample seating, contemporary kitchen with stainless steel dressings, 2 double sized bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, guest cloakroom, bathroom with shower (mains sewage), individually designed hand crafted furniture throughout, high ceilings for coolness and full use of the unusually large infinity pool (on the sea’s edge) which is shared by the small number of residents in this very protected environment. There really is too much to mention about the quality of this uniquely equipped Cyprus holiday villa.

The Paphos District
Paphos itself consists of two towns, each with its very own character. Ktima on the cliff (Upper Paphos) and Kato Paphos by the sea (Lower Paphos). One is virtually unchanged over the centuries and thoroughly Cypriot, while the other has expanded over the last decade from a sleepy fishing village and harbour, into a vibrant cosmopolitan resort which is expanding and improving each year.
In Kato Paphos, (in the archaeological park), you will find many fine mosaics and buildings from Greek and Roman periods, plus the Harbour Castle. Close by, is the church of St Paul's Pillar, where the pillar St Paul was tied to can be found. Further down this road are the Tombs of the Kings and Christian Catacombs.
Going towards the unspoilt Akamas Peninsula, there is Lara Bay, (famous for turtles) and Latchi, famous for its seafront and harbour restaurants as well as the clean sandy beach and its crystal clear waters.
The Paphos area hosts 3 championship standard golf courses which are all within 30 minutes drive from the villa. (Please ask us about golf packages for you and your group).
Above Chloraka itself, lies the road to Tala with its atmospheric Village Square which then leads on to Tsada (for golf), Cedar Valley and the Troodos Mountains. The route is peppered with other small but charming villages along the way. There is an excellent highway which runs to all corners of Cyprus but the old coast road is the most scenic route. A drive along here past various ancient sites such as Aphrodite's Birthplace and Temple, towards Limassol, taking in Curium, is delightful and is littered with the most beautiful views.
Chlorakas area
The village of Chloraka is one of the biggest villages in the area, and ideally situated between Paphos and Coral Bay. It is spread over a large area and 2 distinct sides. The upper part is where many traditional and modern shops, restaurants, bars and amenities are located, the lower part (where Villa Zephyrus is located) is much more residential, peaceful and serene with the beach and Sea close by and many large luxurious properties scattered throughout. The local Hotel (Akti) (800m) provides some good amenities to the area with restaurant, mini-market and a bar with Sky TV. There is also the newly improved Bar Dimma (250m) for meals, snacks and drinks which has both indoor and outdoor seating, a swimming pool and Sky TV also. Less than 750m away is the 'Pentaras' restaurant with an extensive and traditional menu to suit all tastes.
A marooned shipwreck provides an interesting landmark in this area and when walking along the beach at dusk, the sun can sometimes set directly behind the shipwreck creating a very dramatic scene which would not be out of place in a Hollywood movie.
The tourist areas of both Paphos and Coral Bay are about 10 minutes away by car in either direction, the latter having the beautiful Coral Bay Beach, a beach suitable for all the family as well as a diverse range of bars, restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes. A regular bus service is available at the main road.

Guestbook for Villa Zephyrus
Review submitted by Margaret from Falkirk (Submitted: 29/10/2009) Perfectly situated 100 yards from the sea, the villa’s location was ideal. We used the shipwreck as our landmark. The villa surpassed our expectations. The décor was fresh and modern. The furniture was comfortable and the quality bedding and linen were tastefully coordinated. We loved the Mediterranean colours and the kitchen was well equipped. We spent lots of time outside in the outdoor areas: back garden, front garden with gas barbeque and roof terrace. The plants were resplendent; the sunsets were spectacular.
Our two teenage boys had the pool to themselves for the week. Surprisingly the pool was not too cold even in October. There was a nearby tennis court for free and other facilities close by. The owner’s information guide was excellent and there were lots of extras- welcome pack, CD player with range of discs, alarm clock, DVDs, hairdryer etc. I would thoroughly recommend this villa. It was excellent value for money.
Review submitted by Olena from Sheffield (Submitted: 09/09/2009) "Villa Zephyrus really did exceed our expectations! It was immaculate upon arrival with a lovely pool just a minutes walk from the back terrace! Its in a quiet residential area with extremely friendly residents. Just a couple of minutes in the car from some lovely restaurants and so easy to get to Paphos Harbour (5 minutes) and Coral Bay (10 miniutes). If ever we go to Cyprus again we would definitely go back there!"
Review submitted by Mark from Bromley (Submitted: 10/09/2008) "The property feels brand new, is tastefully furnished with every facility you require and makes an excellent base. The roof terrace in particular is well placed to ensure you can enjoy the afternoon sun. Access to a vehicle is recommended to facilitate travel to Paphos (nice harbour) and Coral Bay, each 10 min drive away. The Fish restaurant at the Thalassa Hotel Coral Bay is well worth a visit, expensive but good value."
Review submitted by Margaret from Liverpool (Submitted: 21/05/2008) "Firstly let me say that the villa was superb and I would like to write a trip advisor for it if you can advise me where to find this on your web site. The weather was great and whilst in March the pool was still a little chilly, the setting next to the sea was amazing and in summer it must be a dream. I agree that the standard of furnishings are not typical of a holiday villa and someone has gone to a lot of trouble and expense to make it so comfortable. Thank you very much."
