About this location
The Paphos District
Chloraka is set between Paphos and Peyia/Coral Bay, so you are only approx 15 mins by car, to either area. There are some local facilities within short walking distance, or you can even choose to use the hotel facilities next to the villa.
Paphos old town has a great market with plenty of lace, jewellery and goodies to browse through and plenty of clothes, shoe shops and museums are in Paphos town itself. At Paphos Harbour there are plenty of gift shops, boat trips, fishing trips, a castle and lots of restaurants and cafe bars to choose from. In and around the Kato Papho area, there are also a large variety of cafes, bars and restaurants and the 'Tomb of the Kings' which is a ideal for a spot of history. Travelling in the opposite direction of Paphos, you will find Coral Bay and Peyia. Coral Bay is a smaller tourist area with a variety of bars, restaurants and kiosks and the sandy Coral Bay beach and Peyia is a small village with a selecion of more traditional restaurants and some bars. There is also a 9 hole golf course a short walk from the villa.

This house/villa is definitely the best we have stayed at, fantastic location and amenities.
The owners have obviously taken great care in how the property was presented, it was very clean and well looked after, everything about it said quality and the pool and garden area were excellent.
Local eateries were in plenty with shops close by. I would definitly recommend

"Amazing Villa, good position, lovely space"
We stayed in this villa in September for 10 nights. It was our first time renting a Villa and self catering, we wanted a personal space as this break in Cyprus was not just a family holiday but our marriage as well and we wanted a space to enable us to prepare, make our own and celebrate. We were a fairly large group of 7 adults and 2 young children. On-line the pictures do not do this Villa justice, we had doubts but my husband pushed for this not wanting the more tourist parts on offer and I did not want inland either. Indeed it was the most expensive of our choices but on our arrival our first impression of the Villa was stunning, The views are simply to die for and brochure quality. It is spacious and has plenty of spaces for every age where even our large group was able split off and be just couples or on our own in the house. The garden was brilliantly laid out and well finished with a large sun cover with our two boys playing with water in the outdoor shower as a paddling pool and running around with plenty of space for the six sun loungers and the large eight seater table under this cover as the sun even in September was very hot. A great barbecue setup meant my husband was happy to cook and in fact really enjoyed the experience. Indoors the kitchen was small but very good and fairly well fitted with most utensils. The Villa which is on several levels even on the same floor was interesting at every turn. Every room had aircon and each bedroom is great with a different feature, one with balcony with stunning views, One with en-suite, another with bathroom through its own lounge and the family bathroom just next to the other two rooms. Quality washing and drying facilities meant we were able to keep up with our two little boys cleaning. The shared pool was great and although we had doubts about this to start its in fact very private and watched over by other Villa owners so where we would have been scared about the boys falling in to the pool, realised after the first day that even if they could have escaped to the pool we knew they would be watched. There is a public path at the end of the garden which offers walks in each direction for as long as you can walk in either direction along the coast with the local authority making beautiful well laid out paths and pausing spaces and then over the path you cross the volcanic rocks to the sea. Although no beach the rocks were brilliant and we did not miss the sand as such. The sea comes in here quite rough which can be fun but only 50 metres away is a huge secluded lagoon built by the large hotel next door that offers excelleant swimming in stillish clear sea water with its own small beach and beach bar that is open until late and you can sit on the breakwater out into sea and catch the waves breaking over you and the breakwater! it is ideallic as the sea is so warm. The down side as there has to be some, are that there are several spaces that were not utilised which is a shame, seemed a waste, the villa was in need of some TLC and work doing. A welcome pack would have been useful as in information on the villa, it took us two days to find out how the hot water was turned on, we had one key for the front door and that was the only way of locking the villa up! So locking the back sliding doors and running out the front was pretty tough and for seven adults sharing, who had the key created much discussion. The garden was slightly overgrown espicially at the gate with a pretty but thorny plant that had to be cut back as it injured several of us. Access down the side of the house meant climbing over the fence as the side gate key was not there and on our arrival we had to remove copious layers of dust from everything outside before we could use it. The sea front is not private and cars are often parked there and even though it is slightly hidden there is a bright blue plastic portaloo for the beach users which if you are not careful features in photographs and views. Local ameneties were good and once we found them access to supermarkets and shops was brilliant but you need a car, again a mention in the welcome pack would have helped so much. Some food was more expensive than expected, drink being the cheapest but overall it seemed to be on average with UK prices there was even a Lidl with better quality bakery than expected. All in a lovely place and such a wonderful holiday.
