Home description

Well maintained and well equipped, two bedroomed, ground floor apartment with large patio to the front and a further patio to the rear. Lovely views of the sea, mountains and the sunsets from the front patio. The Village complex is beautifully maintained.

Situated in between Coral Bay and Tomb of the Kings, the bars, tavernas and restaurants are reached within a 10 minute walk and there is also a regular bus service from the end of the road (50 meters) to Pathos Harbour, Queens Bay or Coral Bay if required.

The apartment also contains a small private garden to the front and private off road car parking space. There are three swimming pools, two shallow pools for children, and one large pool for adults and supervised children. There are also showers and a toilet situated near the poolside. There are sunloungers and chairs provided near the pool for residents use and the apartment contains two additional sunloungers.

There is a private tennis court situated next to the swimming pools and both tennis and badminton racquets, tennis balls and shuttlecocks are stored in the apartment.

The rear patio is secure for young children and a child safety gate is available to secure the front patio.

The Paphos District

Cyprus enjoys Mediterranean climate, with long dry summers from May to October and mild winters from December to February.

As well as being the birthplace of Aphrodite goddess of love and beauty, the area is overflowing with spectacular archaeological sites, natural beauty and lovely beaches.

Pafos is a Unesco World Heritage Site and contains many places of architectural and archaeological importance such as the famous villas, amazing mosaics, palaces, Tombs of the Kings, theaters and forts.

The town has two areas which are 3km apart - Lower Pafos (Kato Pafos) is the main tourist area and Upper Pafos (Ktima Pafos) which is inland.

Kato Pafos has a beautiful little harbour full of yachts and every year the Pafos Aphrodite Festival is held here. Ktima Pafos has lots of museums and also many excellent restaurants.

There are many local small beaches to discover and excursions and activities are available locally including excursions to Troodos Mountains, quad biking, fishing, pony trekking, cruises, animal and bird sanctuaries, wine tasting etc.

The area is extremely beautiful and suitable for all ages, couples and families alike. There is the opportunity to do as much, or as little as you would like.


Chlorakas area

The property is situated on the Ikaria Village complex in Chloraka sited on the main coastal road between Paphos and Coral Bay and less than 1km from Tombs of the Kings World Heritage historical site.

The Tombs of the Kings area is within walking distance, where you will find an abundance of bars, restaurants, kiosks, snack bars and also internet cafe's. There are small beaches within walking distance and also at the back of local hotels, but the best sandy beach can be found a little further West at Coral Bay. There are plenty of watersports to do in and around Pathos, including the Waterpark which is also on the local bus route .

There is a bus stop within a few meters, with a very regular bus service operating three routes for a small fee (1.75 Euro). It is a 5 minutes journey on the bus into Paphos Harbour (Kato Paphos) which is a beautiful seafronted jumble of restaurants, jewellers, shops and bars, all dominated by the harbour and Fortress. Behind this area lies 'Bar Street' which is a lively complex full of bars and restaurants. Further inland is Upper Pathos which contains both modern shops and a charming local market. Traveling the other way from the Village is Queens Bay and Coral Bay which are both lovely large sandy beaches.

Chloraka village is a few minutes walk away and is still traditionally picturesque and charming, but much less tourist focused, although you are guaranteed a warm welcome.


How to get there

- Flights to Cyprus depart from most main UK airports. Cyprus has two international airports at Paphos and Larnaca . Chlorakas is approximately 15 km (9 miles) - 20 mins from Paphos Airport and about 1.5 hrs from Larnaca. Charter flights are competitive from Easyjet, First Choice, Thomas Cook, and Monach.

- Car hire can be arranged through a local company at competitive rates and be available for collection at Pathos airport or the apartment.

- Car hire can also be arranged at either Airport.

- Local taxis are readily available from the airport or can be arranged by myself to meet you upon arrival. The journey costs approximately 25-30 Euro.

The apartment includes a double sofa bed for additional space if required. Both bedrooms are carpeted and equipped with large built in wardrobes, dressing tables with mirrors and have ample storage.

Ceiling fans are installed in all rooms, but ventilation is excellent with the four patio doors.

Linen and towels are provided (excluding beach towels). A small selection of DVDs, CDs and also tennis and badminton racquets are stored in the apartment for your use and enjoyment.

An ironing board and clothes airer are also provided and cots and high chairs can be made available for a small additional charge.

The two patios are furnished and contain two patio tables (with sun umbrellas), chairs, two sun loungers and a barbecue.

There is off road parking immediately outside the apartment and also underground parking within the complex.

The communal gardens and swimming pools have panoramic views of the sea and contain seating areas. The communal gardens also have two children's swings.

Reductions are available for long term rentals. A deposit of 25% of the full rental is required to be paid to secure the booking and is non refundable. The balance is to be payable 4 weeks prior to the holiday. Full payment will be required for late booking reservations made within 4 weeks of holiday departure.

Lettings are generally from 2 pm on the first day to 11 am on the date of departure - however we will try to remain flexible to accommodate arrangements which fall outside these times.

A refundable deposit of £50 is payable with the final payment. This will be refunded to you after your holiday provided the key is returned and there are no large breakages.

Payments can be made via Paypal (including debit or credit cards); bank transfer; cheque; or sterling bankers draft.

A welcome pack can be arranged for an additional fee of £12 if required (tea, coffee, milk, bread, water, bacon etc.)

Guestbook for Hera Gardens

I stayed here in May 2007 and liked it so much I returned in June 2008. The apartment is well maintained, tastefully decorated and is situated in a great spot between Coral Bay and Paphos and is only 2 minutes away from many restaurants and bars on the Tombs of the Kings Road. The apartment has two patios, both get lots of sunshine all day long, great for relaxing if you just want a peaceful day. I have found the owner very helpful and always ready to answer any questions. 10/10 Would definitely go back - TR June 2008.
