About the home

The Hayloft is a superb barn conversion located on the edge of the very quiet hamlet of Lyneham. As the name suggests the barn was once the hayloft of this farm, but today has been converted to provide spacious accommodation for up to seven people. Internally the cottage has been renovated to a very high standard creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere which is ideal for families and small groups. As one would expect, the cottage retains many character features including exposed walls and beams! Located on a small and quiet lane, this holiday cottage, in our opinion, is an ideal family destination.

Entrance through to small lobby area.
Living / Dining Room, open plan and very light with windows along the entire length of one wall overlooking the lane and fields beyond. Two sofas and arm chair, TV and DVD player, plus table and chairs for eight people.
Kitchen, fully equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher.Bathroom with wet room / shower WC and washbasin.

Upstairs Bedroom One with double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers.Bedroom Two with double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers plus extra bed (at extra cost, see below)
Bedroom Three with single bedFamily Bathroom with bath, WC and washbasin. Please note that that there is no shower facility.

The Cotswolds are one of the most ‘quintessential English’ regions in the UK.
It is officially designated as the country’s largest ‘areas of outstanding natural beauty’. Famous for its hillsides, river valley’s and Cotswold Stone Villages, the Cotswolds hold a wealth of history, stunning scenery, fine dining and many varieties of activities for all age levels.

The popular towns of Stratford upon Avon and Oxford are also within easy driving distance. (Kingham station is approx. 2 miles away, with trains to Oxford, London, Hereford and Worcester.)

The Chipping Norton / Lyneham area

This holiday cottage is located in the hamlet of Lyneham which enjoys an ‘open house’ style golf club which is within walking distance - open to all for drinks/bar food and of course, a round of golf. It has a large rooftop terrace which can be a very enjoyable spot to watch the world go by. Centrally situated, the hamlet is about 7 miles from Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water. Trains for London/Paddington from nearby Kingham.

Lyneham is well located for visiting all Cotswold attractions and villages including Burford, Stow on the Wold and Blenheim Palace at Woodstock. *
