Cottage | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 2
"Crafty Cottage" is a cosy self catering cottage situated in the very centre of Chipping Campden. Occupying an enviable position in Sheep Street, minutes away from the beautiful historic High Street, and within easy walking distance of shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. The Cottage provides comfortable accommodation for 2 people with the advantage of spacious off road parking and a private garden with seated area.
We built Crafty Cottage ourselves taking inspiration from the Arts and Crafts history of Chipping Campden which originated in the Old Silk Mill which straddles the River Cam beside the cottage. The land where Crafty Cottage now stands was once the yard for the Guildsmen (Charles Ashbee : Guild of Handicraft 1902) and has now been developed to a high standard, providing purpose built self catering accommodation to a traditional design, with modern facilities.
The front door opens into the lounge area which has a traditional style with local Cotswold Stone fireplace and log burning stove. TV (freeview / BT vision/sports) free wifi, landline telephone and comfortable seating & dining areas. Ground floor WC, and well equipped fitted kitchen with all necessary modern facilities.
Stairs lead up to the gallery bedroom with its impressive 10ft high vaulted ceiling and large super king size bed (USA King Size). A modern en-suite compliments the bedroom with walk in shower, WC and sink.

The Cotswolds region
Chipping Campden is an ideal town to use as a base when visiting the North Cotswold region. With villages such as Broadway, Stanton, Stanway and Snowshill within easy reach, alongside Stow on the Wold, Lower Slaughter and Bourton on the Water to name but a few.
With its medieval Market Hall proudly standing beside the historic High Street, Chipping Campden is proud of its heritage and welcomes many visitors from all around the world. A small scattering of independently run shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants add to its charm. St James Church is one of the "Wool Churches" of the Cotswolds and the famous "Cotswold Way" footpath links in with many other routes making it the perfect place to follow trails which pass beautiful thatched cottages, and climbing out of the town up to the hills above for spectacular views.

Hello and thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Crafty Cottage. I was pleased to hear you enjoyed your time in Chipping Campden. In response to minor issues mentioned in your review it is such a pity you didn't contact me during your stay as I could have provided smaller logs if preferred, and also changed the summer duvet for a thicker winter one. We have had such mild weather so far this year but with the first sight of frosts we have now changed this over to a much thicker tog. - I have taken on board that you would have preferred a larger frying pan - unfortunately there is little I can do with regard to the sofa size, this isn't something that has been mentioned before - and I can only reply by highlighting the fact there is a 6ft super king size bed upstairs with additional TV/DVD as an alternative space to cuddle up!
I was pleased we were able to help you with a later checkout to accommodate train/taxi times and it would be lovely to hear from you again should you ever choose to return to Chipping Campden. - Regards Sally
