The Central England / Cotswolds / Cheltenham / Gloucester region

The Cotswolds have a little bit of something for everybody; wonderful historic houses and gardens, museums, farm parks and a wide range of leisure opportunities. Each of the seasons cast their own particular charm on the Cotswolds and many of the attractions can be enjoyed throughout the year.

As a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) the Cotswolds has many attractive small towns and villages built of the local yellow limestone. It offers some of the most magnificent architecture dating back to medieval times and is steeped in history with numerous places of interest just waiting to be explored.

Chipping Campden area

Chipping Campden is one of the gems amongst Cotswold towns, with fascinating little shops and excellent inns and restaurants. Within easy reach of interesting historic houses, including Blenheim Palace (birthplace of Winston Churchill); Hidcote Manor; Snowshill Manor; Sudeley Castle.

Cotswold's Motoring Museum, Cotswold's Farm Park and Batsford Arboretum are well worth a visit.
The larger towns of Stratford on Avon (Shakespeares birthplace), Cheltenham Spa and the historic towns of Worcester, Warwick and Oxford are within an easy drive.
