Barn | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 3
Super-chic and very cool, this is a perfect Cotswold retreat with high quality throughout! Located behind Chipping Campden High Street and literally a few paces from the art galleries, the shops and restuarants, this is a home-away-from-home! Utterly spoiling!
The property is accessed through an inconspicuous door on the High Street which leads directly to your front door and private courtyard with bench plus space for boots and wellies.
Entrance through to inner hall with cloakroom with WC and washbasin, leading to open plan living area
Living Area with woodburning stove, sofa and armchair, flatscreen TV with Freeview plus DVD. This room has super views from the floor to ceiling glass windows looking towards the 100 ft gardens.
Kitchen is beautiful and very well equipped (it should be as the owner is a kitchen designer!) Hand painted units housing dishwasher, electric hob and double oven/grill and microwave. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in a separate cupboard.
Faded oak floors throughout the ground floor lead to the staircase with its full height frosted glass panels and Roger Oates stair runner to the first floor.
Master Bedroom with antique French double bed (4ft 6in), Egyptian cotton linen, dressing table and chair, chest of drawers and hanging space, wall mounted TV/DVD player with Freeview, sisal flooring.
Bedroom Two with single brass bed, chest of drawers, hanging space, sisal flooring.
Beautiful Bathroom has shower over bath with large rose head, antique French vanity cupboard with basin and shaver point beneath, WC, wood flooring.
There is an additional bed available, charged at £50.00 per stay/week.
The garden is laid with patio/breakfast area, lawn, well stocked beds in flower spring and summer. Pathway with spotlights. At one end is a large barbeque area with table, chairs and parasol. Lighting is placed in the flower beds making a lovely space to relax on summer evenings.
One small Pet Welcome. On Street Parking, nearby. £100 damages deposit required if dog is part of the booking.
Wireless Broadband is available. A welcome basket of logs is provided. Cot & high chair available. Please note that the staircase has one banister to the right as you walk up the stairs. This may cause trouble for those with restricted mobility.

The Central England/Cotswolds region
Chipping Campden is one of the Cotswolds' premium locations. Thanks to its relatively central location Campden is also a perfect place to stay if you're looking to tour the region, with a host of excellent and attractive villages all within 30 mins drive. Above all, however, there is a cracking choice of restaurants, tea rooms and country inns all of which offer a wide and excellent selection of food and drink.
Given the location there are numerous walks or for the less energetic a wide variety of specialist shops to browse in with a diverse and interesting selection of goods, many handcrafted and locally produced. You can enjoy the delights not only of this charming old town, but also the nearby surrounding shire counties of Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. From Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds to the south, to Worcester and the Malverns to the west plus Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick (with the best medieval castle in Europe) all within an hour's journey.

"Nice house shame about the owners"
Lovely house if not a bit small, We took two dogs but there is only the lounge for them to stay in. There is a social club at the side of the property which played loud music till late while we were t… More
The Owner of Wool Barn responds:
“I have addressed each point as it has been made by the customer.
1. 1. The customer says there is only the lounge for the dogs to stay in. This is not accurate as there is also a 100ft garden for them to play freely. Further, the accommodation description clearly states the sitting room is an open plan sitting room/kitchen/diner. There is also a courtyard at the front of the property. 2. The British Legion on the evening in question played only that evening and finished at 11 pm. It began at 8.30. 3. The duvet cover, which had been removed and “"placed inside out" on the floor without us being told it was soiled, was a 600 thread count Egyptian cotton duvet cover and cost a lot more than £100. The replacement value was £114 as it had been discontinued. The pillow cases also had to be replaced because it had been discontinued and were part of the set. This was explained to the customer. 4. We did not ignore any communication, we responded to the customer via the holiday let company and the customer agreed to send the extra for the cleaning costs and duvet cover.
We do clearly stress that although dogs are welcome they are not permitted to go upstairs or on furniture. 99% of our customers bring their dogs and their dogs behave well because it is such a lovely environment for them, but your dogs were muddy and ruined the bed clothes as admitted. We cannot pick up the cost for this so the bad review appears to be down the fact the customer is disgruntled because he was discovered to have soiled the bed clothes and tried to hide them. The costs incurred are indicative of a quality holiday let and this is why people come to the Wool Barn because the quality of the fixtures, fittings and bed linen are so high compared to most holiday lets.
