The cottage is in the conservation area of the pretty Cotswold village of Mickleton. Tucked away in a peaceful location and enjoying a pretty, private garden, Elder Cottage is a few minutes walk from two excellent inns, Post Office and village shop.Great attention has been paid to detail and the cottage provides you with everything you will need during your holiday. The cottage is a cosy retreat for two. There is a very well equipped breakfast kitchen which includes a dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. The lounge has french windows which open into the pretty garden. There is a digital flat screen television, DVD player and a selection of DVD's, as well as a good selection of novels to relax with. A walkers map of the area is provided as there are lovely walks straight from the door. There is a lovely sunny bedroom upstairs with a radio/cd/alarm and plenty of storage space. The Central England / Cotswolds / Cheltenham / Gloucester region
At the northern end of the Cotswolds, Mickleton, home of the world-famous Pudding Club, is a pretty village on the B4632, just 3 miles north of Chipping Campden, 8 miles south west of Stratford-upon-Avon (birthplace of William Shakespeare and home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre) and 8 miles north east of Broadway. With beautiful countryside on the doorstep, Elder Cottage is an ideal base for a Cotswolds walking holiday, touring the Cotswolds, or just relaxing. The Heart of England Way passes through the village, and the Cotswold Way begins and ends in nearby Chipping Campden.

Nearby attractions include Kiftsgate Gardens (1 mile), Bourton-on-the-Water (12 miles), Stow-on-the-Wold (12 miles), Warwick Castle (16 miles) and Blenheim Palace (35 miles). There are notable National Trust properties at Hidcote (1 mile), the Fleece Inn at Bretforton (5 miles) and Snowshill Manor (10 miles). Mickleton is ideally situated for trips into the Cotswolds to the south or the 'Heart of England' to the north and east. Worcester, Warwick, Cheltenham and Oxford are all within an easy drive of an hour or less.
Mickleton offers two pubs, a restaurant, Post Office and stores, village shop, traditional butcher, garage and farm shops. The nearest small town is Chipping Campden with its fine High Street, beautiful church and many ancient and interesting buildings.

Conditions
1. Weekly lettings are from 3pm Friday to 10am the following Friday. Short Breaks are also available (see Prices & Availability page) from 3pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure.
2. Under no circumstances may the maximum number of persons occupying the property exceed 2 adults.
3. A deposit of 40% of the price listed for each week booked is required to confirm the booking. Deposits are non-refundable except as indicated in Condition 13 below. The remainder must be paid 8 weeks before your holiday commences. For bookings made less than 8 weeks before the start of your holiday, the amount must be paid in full.
4. Non-payment of the balance of the total holiday cost by the date due shall be deemed to be cancellation of the booking by the Hirer. In the event of a cancellation by the Hirer after full payment has been made, no portion of the payment is refundable unless the period in question is re-let.
5. No pets or animals of any type are permitted on the premises.
6. No smoking anywhere inside the cottage.
7. No merchandise, products, samples, business equipment or equivalent are permitted on the premises without the written permission of the Owners. Any such equipment found on the premises will be summarily removed.
8. All damages and breakages are the legal responsibility of the Hirer, and their cost shall be refundable on demand. However, minor damages or breakages will not normally be charged.
9. The Hirer is responsible for the property and expected to take all reasonable care of it. All equipment, utensils etc must be left clean and tidy and the property must be left clean and tidy at the end of the holiday period.
10. Baggage and personal belongings are at the Hirers risk at all times, and no responsibility can be accepted for any loss or damage to any vehicle or its contents.
11. All information is given in good faith and every endeavour is made to ensure it is correct. However, no responsibility can be accepted for any loss or damage resulting from such information.
12. The Hirer is responsible for any act, neglect of default on their part and no responsibility can be accepted for any loss, damage, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience to persons arising from the letting.
13. If, for any reason, the property becomes unavailable through events beyond the Owners’ control (for example fire, theft, damage, delay of building works, drought, interruption of utility supplies or similar) then it may be necessary to cancel the booking. If no acceptable alternative can be found, then all monies paid will be refundable in full, but the Hirer will have no further claims against the Owners.
