The Central England / Cotswolds / Cheltenham / Gloucester region
The Cotswolds run southwest to northeast through six counties , particularly Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, and southern Warwickshire. The northern and western edges of the Cotswolds are marked by steep escarpments down to the Severn valley and the Avon. The English countryside is arguably at its best in the Cotswolds, where limestone villages and majestic castles dot this typically green landscape.
Chipping Campden / Norton, Cheltenham area
The Cotswold towns of Broadway , Chipping Campden, and also the regency town of Cheltenham, are wonderful places to visit or for shopping. Ten minutes away is Bidford - upon - Avon with its park next to the river and a further fifteen minutes on you arrive at Stratford-upon-Avon with its famous Shakespearian history, The theatre, the river, boating, restaurants etc etc . To the west about half-an-hour away is the city of Worcester also steeped in history. Approximately one hour away from cobweb are the beautiful Malvern Hills well worth a days visit. Norton itself is an ancient village that has many old buildings of great character which include a church and an excellent family pub “The Norton Grange“ that serves excellent food & drink and provides two meals for the price of one!
How to get there
Cobweb cottage is situated one and 3/4 miles from the town of Evesham. There is a bus stop out side that has regular run services and there is also a train station in Evesham . Evesham itself lies equidistant from historical Stratford-Upon-Avon and Worcester.
