The Cotswolds region

Mickleton is superbly located in the Northern Cotswolds, a few minutes from Stratford upon Avon, Chipping Campden and Broadway. An ideal base for a touring holiday, a long relaxing escape or a romantic mini-break. You can enjoy the delights not only of the charming Cotswolds villages, but also the nearby surrounding shire counties of Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.

From Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds to the south, to Worcester and the Malverns to the west (plus Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick, with the best medieval castle in Europe) – they are all within an hour's journey from Mickleton.

Chipping Campden

The village of Mickleton is less than a mile away and provides a thriving 'proper Cotswolds village' with village shop, post office and green grocers supplying locally grown vegetables along with a renowned excellent Butchers also supplying game. The two pubs of Mickleton serve excellent food and are popular with visitors and locals alike. Mickleton is home to the infamous Pudding Club based at the Three Ways Hotel. The beautiful village of Chipping Campden, with a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants, is only 2.5 miles away. Eight miles south west of Stratford-upon-Avon (birthplace of William Shakespeare and home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre) and eight miles north east of Broadway. With beautiful countryside on the doorstep, Custard Cottage is the ideal base to explore the Cotswolds. Ideal for walking with the beautiful “Heart of England” walking trails outside the door.

"Beautiful Cottage, not a bad word to say about our stay!"

Sarah offers a wonderful property (my favourite features being the underfloor heating and log fireplace) with so many lovely touches, that I couldn't find fault even if I tried. It's located near many a quaint place to visit under an hours drive but set far away from everything else that you do feel like you're in your own little, private world.

The only recommendation I would make is to bring or ask for a spare wine glass (only one in house) and perhaps any spices/speciality food that you may want for cooking... just like any self-catering holiday let!
