Children also love the adventure playground with climbing frame, swings, slide, two king-size trampolines and a two-storey playhouse. More details below!

Playground & Games Room

The adventure playground is in one of the paddocks, just beyond the sun terrace. There’s a great wooden tower and climbing frame, two giant trampolines, swings, slide and a two-storey playhouse. In the summer, mown paths through the long grass make a great natural playground. In the autumn, the hedges are full of juicy blackberries for you to enjoy.

"Amazing holiday house in an amazing location - loved every minute!"

Our group consisted of 10 adults, 3 two-year olds, 1 one-year old, and a 2month old baby... I was sure I wouldn't be able to find a holiday home that catered to everyone's needs - but Oak House did just that!

Massive playground for the kids, big bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms, fantastic large kitchen/living space where everyone could hang out (even while cooking for 10 people!), and everything you could possibly need on holiday - toys, books, dvd's, space for playing, walking, you name it. And utensils - we had a running game to find the one utensil we needed but wasn't catered for in the house. we thought we'd cinched it at "cake slice", but no - there it was.

Long story short, if you enjoy a bit of luxury and a modern feel in a country setting, this is the one for you. Fantastic layout means that even with a large group of people (and little kids), you never feel crowded or separated. Didn't get a chance to use the pool (wrong time of year, and too cold) but I can only imagine that that would be the icing on the cake (and speaking of cake, we were greeted by the most delicious victoria sponge - nice touch).

In summary - go visit. Great service from the owners too - very friendly, efficient, and professional.
