The Central England/Cotswolds region
Chipping Campden is one of the most beautiful and historic wool market towns of the North Cotswolds. It is famous for its curving high street and mellow stone houses and sits in a fold in the Cotswold Hills, straddling the River Cam in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the surrounding countryside is breathtaking.
The town has changed little over the years and is still the focus for much of the local rural community. There are a wide variety of restaurants and pubs and an excellent range of shops selling local produce, gifts and antiques. The town is associated with the Arts and Crafts movement and offers a wide range of attractions for visitors, including medieval architecture, historic gardens and monuments, regular markets and unique shops. There are also numerous beautiful, quaint little villages waiting to be explored within a short drive.
Cultural events are held throughout the year, such as the Chipping Campden Music Festival, the Open Gardens weekend and the Robert Dover's Olimpick Games, described as “the first stirrings of Britain's Olympic beginnings”. Stratford on Avon and Blenheim Palace, the birthplaces of Shakespeare and Churchill, are cultural gems situated nearby, as are the dreaming spires of Oxford. Cheltenham and the famous racing festival lie 20 miles away.

Thank you for reviewing 1 Manor Lodge cottage, we really appreciate you taking the time to do so. We try to be as flexible as possible and we were lucky the cottage was available a week early, with only a couple of hours notice to prepare it! These little challenges are all part of our business and ultimately we want everyone who stays with us to have a great experience, from booking until departing. If our guests are happy, we are happy too. We hope to hear from you again.

"A nice little haven!!"
Spent a beautiful 3 weeks at this delightful cottage. Spotlessly clean and very cosy....heating very efficient!!! The beds were extremely comfortable and again spotless which is very important to me. Very well stocked with lovely touches. The garden is completely enclosed and very child friendly. Paxford itself is a beautiful village and very peaceful but a stones throw away from the larger villages and towns. Would not hesitate recommending it to anyone regardless of age.
Thank you both for taking the time to leave a review after your stay with us. We're pleased everything was to your liking and thank you especially for leaving the house so clean and tidy! We hope to see you again & good luck with your plans.

"Calm and Serene"
this is the 5th time my sister and I have rented properties through this web site and we have NEVER been disappointed. They are always as posted. Sara and Andy were so responsive to our requests...bringing us extra wood for the fireplace, helping with the electronics. Very gracious and warm couple. I would highly recommend this property, the bedding excellent, the linens like being in a 5 star property. Very relaxing and calm setting and the perfect place to enjoy the serene English countryside.
