The Cotswolds region
The Cotswolds is a unique Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK. Famous for its hillsides, river valleys and cotswold stone villages, the Cotswolds hold a wealth of history, stunning scenery, fine dining and activities for all ages.
The Cotswolds is a walkers paradise with over 3000 miles of public footpaths through some of the best scenic landscapes that England has to offer. Whether you are looking for a gentle stroll through the historic countryside or attempting the 100 mile Cotswold Way, there something for everyone.
Chipping Campden is one of the most beautiful and historic wool market towns of the North Cotswolds. It is famous for the curving high street and mellow stone houses and sits in a fold in the Cotswold Hills, straddling the River Cam in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the surrounding countryside is breathtaking.
Cultural events are held throughout the year, such as the Chipping Campden Music Festival, the Open Gardens weekend and the Robert Dover's Olimpick Games, described as “the first stirrings of Britain’s Olympic beginnings”. Stratford on Avon and Blenheim Palace, the birthplaces of Shakespeare and Churchill, are cultural gems situated nearby, as are the dreaming spires of Oxford. "Lovely Cottage in an excellent location."
We could not have made a better choice of a base for exploring the Cotswolds. The cottage is well furnished, more than adequately equipped, very comfortable and we could not have asked for more. The cottage is just 1 minute from the High street where there is everything you need, shops, pubs and restaurants. Thank you Nyra, we'll be back for sure.

"Perfect holiday accommodation"
We spent 21 - 30 May 2012 in Rose Cottage in Chipping Campden, experiencing perfect summer weather. From the very first moment we entered the cottage it felt like home. Thank you Nyra for providing a cosy, convenient, clean and charming holiday home. Well equipped kitchen with all needs catered for, made "housekeeping" an absolute joy.Beautiful bedrooms with quality mattresses. Shower over the bath not ideal for tall people but did not bother us.Perfect location with 2 minute walk to high street . All the requirements for a perfect holiday were met. Cycle hire 4 min from cottage, Cotswolds hikes in all directions, beautiful gardens to visit ( Kiftsgate ! ) quality restaurants and tearooms. We recommend Eight Bells pub and restaurant ,Italian Restaurant in High St, Badgers Tea room. All the most beautiful Cotswold towns of Broadway, Blockley, Stow on the Wold etc only 10 - 30 min away. Highly recommended. Gideon & Margot, Hermanus. South Africa

"Very comfortable little cottage just 50 yards from the village center."
We stayed in Chipping Campden 3 days. The cottage was great - no issues whatsoever. It has a nice little kitchen, decent bathroom (just one), good beds in 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, adequate storage. The downstairs area is small but cozy. The TV screen is miniscule, perhaps 24" or smaller, so they could definitely upgrade it. However, they have a cozy little potbelly gas stove that warms the living room up and makes it enjoyable for the family to hang out. There is one parking spot (perhaps two) included, just outside the cottage - so is very convenient.
The cottage is newer construction made to fit in with the surrounding limestone motif. It's comfortable and cozy, yet not totally authentic if that's what you're looking form.
The lease agent was very nice, if in a bit of a hurry when we met her at 6pm. Location could not be better - you are literally 30 seconds walk from the center of town (Chipping Campden). There are several pubs and breakfast places within a 2 minute walk, and a convenience store only a 100 yards away. The Chipping Campden location worked out very well for our tour of the Northern Cotswolds. It's quiet - so be prepared for a relaxing few days.
In sum, we would go back again, and yes, we would recommend it to a family member or friend.

"Lovely cottage in excellent location"
We stayed for a week in Rose Cottage, which is lovely and very cosy : the beds are comfortable, it's also very well equipped and very clean. The owner is fantastic, really nice and helpful - there was even a bottle of wine for us when we arrived. On top of all that, the location is excellent : you can find everything you need in the gorgeous village of Chipping Campden, and from there you can either tour around the lovely countryside or go to Oxford / Stratford.. We recommend to go to Oxford by train, as it is really cheap and saves the trouble of parking. So, in short, an excellent holiday rental !
