Situated in the picturesque and peaceful village of Bretforton within easy walking distance of the village shop and the Fleece Inn (the only pub owned by the National Trust) which serves excellent food. The Fleece is renowned for its Asparagus auction and featured on BBC Countryfile with Adam Henson. Alternatively, join in with their folk music nights on Thursday evenings.

Wisteria Cottage is within easy distance of the renowned towns of Broadway and Chipping Campden. Also, only a short drive away are Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon, Warwick Castle and Blenheim Palace. There are many gardens to visit it the area including Hidcote Gardens, also owned by the National Trust.

The sitting room is in the oldest part of the house and has an old brick fireplace with wood burning stove (logs provided free of charge). Two very comfortable two seater sofas. Original flagstone floor with unusual pattern, exposed beams, Cotswold stone mullions and windows with old “boat hook” latches. Flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD.

The kitchen is a wonderful, bright and sunny room. A lovely peaceful outlook, with French windows facing south onto the garden. Sit around the “farmhouse” style table or in the comfortable chair. Very well equipped with stylish fitted cupboards, granite work tops and terracotta tiles on the floor. Stoves gas hob and double oven

Stairs (with hand rail) lead from the hall upstairs to the landing. The stairs, landing and bedrooms are fully carpeted. All duvets and pillows are made of hypo-allergenic fibre. Duvets are “Four Seasons” with suitable warmth for summer and winter.

BEDROOM ONE

With windows to two sides, one of which has a window seat. 4'6” double bed with king size duvet. Attractively furnished with old pine wardrobe with drawer, dressing table and bedside tables.

BEDROOM TWO

This pretty bedroom has twin beds (3' wide) and faces to the rear of the cottage. Old pine chest of drawers. Bedside table. There is a hook on the back of the door but other hanging is in Bedroom One.

SHOWER ROOM

Large walk in shower, basin and wc. Heated towel rail.

GARDEN

Surround by a paddock fence (a hedge has been planted but will take time to grow!), this sunny garden is laid to grass and herbaceous borders. Just step out through the French doors from the kitchen to this haven of peace and quiet. There is a wooden table and chairs with parasol for your use.

The Central England/Cotswolds region

The North Cotswolds is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with rolling hills and many beautiful little villages to wander around and explore. Broadway and Chipping Campden are nearby with easy access to Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water

Also, only a short drive away are Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon, Warwick Castle and Blenheim Palace.

There are many gardens to visit in the area including Hidcote Gardens, owned by the National Trust.

One of the most charming and unspoilt of the Cotswold towns, Chipping Campden is often described as having the most perfect High Street in England, with it’s beautiful honey coloured stone buildings dating from the 14th to the 17th centuries. Visitors are welcome in the Old Silk Mill and the workshop of Harts (Gold and Silversmiths) who are descendants of C R Ashbee’s Guild.

For those keen on walking there are many public footpaths including the Cotswold Way which starts in Chipping Campden and goes to Bath. In Wisteria Cottage there is an Information File with many circular walks in the area.
