The South East England / Greater London region
• London is located in the southeast of England. It has a rich collection of historical monuments. London has the greatest concentration of major attractions in Britain and offers an amazing variety of places to visit.
• London's great collection of major attractions include four of Britain's World Heritage Sites and 238 attractions that are free to enter. So there's nowhere else in the world where you can see so much for so little. Choose from the classic British Airways London Eye to museums and galleries, or head outdoors to one of London's many parks.
East London / Chingford area
• Chingford is the birth and formative place of England and the World's most popular footballer, David Beckham. It has an amazing mix of the past and present and also an eclectic mix of shops, eateries, bars and Cafes and a relaxed atmosphere.
• It is located in the attractive and elegant leafy North end of the London Borough of Waltham Forest - host borough for the London 2012 Olympics. Chingford is in the East London post code though lies on the borders of North London. Also close to Woodford and Sewardstone in Essex and within easy reach of Waltham Abbey in Hertfordshire.
• Chingford enjoys excellent connections to the city and beyond. The M11 and M25 motorways provide easy links to the City and West End - accessible in less than 30 minutes by road - as well as to other national motorway networks. Chingford mainline rail station provide fast services direct to Liverpool Street or other areas of Central London via Walthamstow Central Tube, Rail and Bus stations. Central Lines of the London Underground serve the southern end of the borough. A comprehensive network of bus routes provide transport to surrounding areas and the city.
• This location is a walking distance or few minutes on the Bus to the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge in the heart of glorious Epping Forest. It was commissioned by King Henry VIII as a grandstand for shooting deer dating from 1543. They organise private tours private tours for groups.

• Truely countless golf courses/ranges within a few mile radius and most easily reached by foot, cycle, short drive or bus. This include the Chingford Golf course (a public 18 hole golf course) and Chingford golf driving range along Watham way.
• Find time to learn and enjoy horse riding. The Barnfield Stables in Chingford is a popular choice and a short drive from the apartment.
• Walthamstow dog stadium in Chingford is a popular Greyhound racing venue attacting regular events and massive audience. Voted BGRB racecourse of the MILLENNIUM and considered the best in Europe. It features extensive bar and food facilities and organises several races five days a week.
• Further up the road into Walthamstow is the Walthamstow Market - the longest daily street market in Europe. Walthamstow Village is a beautifully preserved large town which evolved from the rural village "Wacoumstou" in 1086, with buildings dating from the fifteenth century, now hidden in the heart of a metropolitan Borough.
• Waltham Forest borough is also home to the famous William Morris Gallery. This is the only public museum devoted to this country's best known and most versatile designer, with internationally important collections illustrating Morris's life, achievements and influence. William Morris, designer, craftsman, writer and socialist, was born at Walthamstow on 24th March 1834. There are permanent displays of printed and woven fabrics, rugs, carpets, wallpapers, furniture, stained glass and painted tiles designed by Morris himself. Outstanding exhibits include: Morris's medieval-style helmet and sword, made as 'props' for the Pre-Raphaelite murals.
• Royal Gunpowder Mills (5 miles or 15 minute drive away): where Science, Nature and History Unite. It is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Set in 175 acres of natural parkland and boasting 21 buildings of major historic importance, the site mixes fascinating history, exciting science and beautiful surroundings to produce a magical day out for all. Established in the 17th century and acquired by the Crown in 1787, the Royal Gunpowder Mills has a very important place in both the history of Great Britain and its home town of Waltham Abbey.
• Capel Manor Gardens and estate provide a colourful and scented oasis surrounding a Georgian Manor House and Victorian Stables. It offers a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes at Greater London's only Specialist College of Horticulture, Floristry, Garden Design, Equine, Animal Care and Countryside Studies. The attractions include 30 acres of richly planted themed gardens including Historical Gardens, Italianate Maze, Japanese Garden and many others. There is a sensory garden and gardens designed especially for wheelchair users. - It also has two unique gardens - the Diana Princess of Wales Garden and the Centenary Garden for HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Both gardens feature favourite plants for these special royal ladies. Capel Manor Gardens plan regular variety of shows and events.
• Other local attractions include the Walthamstow reservoir fishing venues which has parking and toilets. Fish species include Bream, Carp, Eels, Pike and Tench.
• 4 miles away is Tottenham which is home to Premiership football club, Tottenham Hotspurs FC. of shops and eateries.
• Quick/easy access to Liverpool street, central London - 20 minutes on the train. Whole day off peak travel ticket including unlimited train, tube and Bus travel anywhere between Chingford and Central London. Using Oyster card or buying a family Travel ticket turn out cheaper. Free travel for children over 11 years old and free bus and Tram travel for children up to 16yrs.
• The Millennium Dome, has now newly reopened as the O2 zone - one of the great entertainment venue of all times. It is less than 10 miles away and close to David Beckam football academy.
• Brent cross and Lakeside shopping centres are two leading and innovative shopping and leisure destinations within 20-30 minutes drive. Bluewater shopping centre is also within reach. Ideal for your day out shopping and leisure. Admire it's enigmatic posture with over 330 stores, 40 cafes and restaurants and 13 screen cinema.
• ExCeL London is an easy and straight forward drive. This international exhibition and conference centre which has plenty to fire your imagination is just six miles away. It is home to a vast range of events throughout the year.
How to get there
• It is about 10 mins walk (or three stops on the Bus) from Chingford train station. Take a train direct from Liverpool Street Station to Chingford Station
OR Bus number 97 from Walthamstow Central station direct to adjacent street in Chingford
OR take a tube to Walthamstow Central and change over to British rail Train to Chingford station.
• Fly to London City Airport – Valley View Apartment is just 8 miles drive away or easy train journey.
• Fly to Stansted Airport – then take a tube to Walthamstow station or train to Liverpool street station, then train to Chingford station.
Car hire available from easycars.co.uk or premiercarhire.co.uk (or local cab hire from London City Airport should cost no more than 20GBP).
Alternatively use Stansted airport (28miles), Heathrow Airport (27miles), Luton airport (35miles) or Gatwick Airports (58miles) - access by rail / tube or rent a car.
• From these other Airports take a tube or train to Liverpool street Station, then take a direct Train (Operated by "one " rail) to Chingford station or take a tube to Walthamstow Central.
• Alternatively travel from Heathrow, Stanstead or Gatwick take a Cab which may cost between 40-60GBP.
• Dover port and The Channel Tunnel are both straightforward drives.
• Whole day travel ticket (for trains, tubes AND buses) for travel around London including all areas of Central London. Family Ticket is even Cheaper/head. Children under 11 travel free on all London transport. 11 - 15 yr olds travel free on buses and trams.

• Cancellations will incur a loss of deposit or full payment if cancelled before or after the six week period respectively prior to check in date.
• A security deposit of £100 GBP in cleared fund is payable at/before check in for up to four weeks stay. Refunded within ten working days of check out if no damage to property or content or excessive cleaning needs.
