Guestbook for Tolkien
You've managed to provide a warm, welcoming yet homely cottage which we wouldn't
hesitate to use again and will be definitely recommending to our friends.

we enjoyed our stay in beautiful Chilton Apartments very much, The welcome was warm and the village is picture-postcard pretty. We found it very central and convenient: bus to Oxford from the village and the train to London just a few miles away suited us perfectly. Would certainly love to stay there again.

feel like home!
Thanks Sheila !
I spent 1 week at chilton when I was visiting RAL. It is really much more than what I expected! It is amazing to stay here. Chilton is quiet and peaceful but convenient. The bus to RAL, Didcot and Oxford is just outside the accommodation.

An amazing find! We booked it as the base accommodation for a big family get together and this was perfect for people coming from the South West, the Midlands and the North.
It's warm, charming and restful and best of all spacious!

Our week long stay at Chilton House was wonderful! Great location, clean and comfortable with a great history. The village was beautiful and the people were friendly. We felt very welcome and would recommend Chilton House to everyone! Thank you, Sheila, for all your help! You are very kind indeed. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. We traveled for 31 days around Europe and my kids & their friends (ages 18-21) say that yours was their favorite place the entire month! Not bad considering I was particularly enchanted by the converted palace we stayed at in Venice!
