About the home

“La Marina” is an old, typical fisherman’s house, completely and tastefully remodelled in marine style with white surfaces contrasting with sky-blue windows. The cottage has been completely and skilfully renovated with taste and sophistication, with luxurious furnishings and every modern convenience. The cottage is arranged on two levels connected by an inside cast iron spiral staircase, as well as an outside staircase.

The ground floor has: half-bath with toilet and sink; living/dining area with splendid rustic “La Cornue” kitchen range, with five burners and two separate ovens, considered one of the best in the world for its technical and aesthetic qualities. There is also a large, handmade, wooden cutting board; Refrigerator-cupboard and separate freezer; Nespresso coffee/cappuccino machine; 32” satellite LCD display TV. Air conditioning/heating. The kitchen is fully equipped with good quality microwave oven, toaster, dishes, flatware and kitchen utensils.

The first floor, accessible from the living room by a handmade cast iron spiral staircase or directly from the garden (outside stairs) is composed of a beautiful, 30 sq m suite with a small balcony overlooking the sea. The double bed has a quilted headboard; in the corner there is a splendid design sink and an elegant glass shower box (120cm x 120cm) with two separate water faucets and a waterfall faucet, both in full view. There is a second bathroom with toilet and bidet. A large decorative wall displays a coral-themed Bisazza mosaic. 32’’ satellite LCD TV. Air conditioning/heating. The bedroom and living area both have a magnificent view of the sea. The floors are antique French oak parquet, and the ceilings are beamed.

“La Marina” also boasts a private garden with large lemon house, also overlooking the sea. It is around 40 sq m; the floor is made of marine-style teak and it is has a table and chairs for outdoor meals, as well as two chaise lounges facing the sea. There is also another such area for guest use, also with marine teak flooring. Its rustic charm makes it perfect for reading and relaxing. The entire property has outdoor lighting, to make evenings as pleasant and relaxing as the daytime.

“La Marina” is aimed at a clientele of no more than two people at a time, people who appreciate comfort along with tasteful surroundings.

Chiessi beach

The Tuscany / Island of Elba region

The cottage that we have named “La Marina” is located just 80 m from the sea in Chiessi, one of the more characteristic villages on the Island of Elba. Chiessi is a small village overlooking the sea, on the southern coast of the island, called the “Costa del Sole” (Sun Coast) because the temperature stays warm throughout the year. “La Marina” and Chiessi are ideal for anyone wishing to spend their holidays in close contact with nature and the sea, far from mass tourism. Chiessi’s crystal waters and beach, partly pebbles and partly rocks, are just 80 m away, and can easily be reached by foot.

Fetovaia and Calvoli’s white sandy beaches, Elba’s most famous beaches, are just a 5 minute car ride away, while shops selling essential items can be reached by foot.
