About the home

Cuba Libre" is in the semi-rural village of Pago Del Humo. It is self contained and furnished to a high standard. It has a private patio garden enhanced with citrus trees and bougainvilleas.

The pool is 8m x 4m with shallow Roman steps and is overlooked by a patio terrace where one can dine al fresco and barbecue on our built in BBQ or soak up the Andalucian sun from a sun lounger.

The traditional Spanish town of Chiclana is a 10 minute drive with plenty of restaurants, shops and markets. There are several golf courses in the area.

Cuba Libre is ideal for golf breaks and golf clubs are included. Golf enthusiasts are spoilt for choice as
there are over 20 courses within 40 minutes of the villa. Golf Clubs provided in the house.

Cuba Libre has a fully equipped modern kitchen with built in oven/ grill, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and hob.

The villa has 3 bedrooms, the main bedroom has double bed, fitted wardrobes, air-conditioning and en suite shower room.

Bedroom 2 has fitted wardrobes and air-conditioning, bedroom 3 has air conditioning. There is a spacious living room with bay window,log fire,Satelite TV with English Stations, DVD, air conditioning and a selection of books. There is also central heating.

The garden is completely walled and private with its own private pool 8m x 4m enhanced with Roman steps.

Landscaped garden with citrus trees and bougainvilleas with ample parking space for 2 cars. There is
a built in BBQ.

The garden is safe for small children and off the main road. There is a roofed porch overlooking the swimming pool with tables and chairs to dine alfresco and to give shade for the sun.

The village shop, pharmacy, restaurants and bars are a few minutes by car or a 15 minute stroll. The Blue Flag Beach of La Barrosa is 15 minutes by car. Also nearby is an undeveloped beach area with sand dunes.

Conditions

20% deposit at time of booking (upon cancellation of a booking the deposit is only refunded if we can re-let the villa)
Balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

A fully refundable damage/extra cleaning deposit of 200 Euro will be taken on arrival at the villa. On departure the villa will be inspected and the damage deposit returned minus any applicable charges for damages/breakages/extra cleaning.

Towels and linen are included, beach towels are also supplied. Villa is cleaned before arrival and after departure. Extra cleaning and linen service is available at extra cost.

The Costa de la Luz region

Costa De La Luz is a beautiful part of spain which remains unspoilt. Chiclana is situated on the south of Cadiz Bay. Chiclana's natural landscape is formed by the marshlands which forms part of the national park of Cadiz Bay. There are natural pine woods, cliffs and miles of fine sandy beaches.

The warm climate and the 350 days of sunshine every year is the reason it is called the Costa De La Luz. Chiclana is proud of its wine tradition and a visit to one of the local vineyards or cellars is an unforgeable experience.

The beautiful beach of La Barrosa with its white sand and turquoise sea spans 8 kilometres, it offers 2 different stretches, a promenade with bars and restaurants for tourists to the unspoilt wild beach of Novo Santi Petri a tourist sport resort with 4 star hotel, golf courses and riding centre.

The unspoilt beach of Santi Petri has "churingitos" or beach bars with toilet facilities during the summer months.

The Chiclana / Pago Del Humo area

Pago Del Humo is a small semi rural village just 5 minutes drive to Chiclana town centre. There is an excellent bar/restaurant in the village called "Venta Sorpresa" serving traditional food at very reasonable prices. Pago Del Humo is in easy reach of the many white top villages in the area, where there are fabulous restaurants and bars serving tapas and traditional food.

The boat trip from El Puerto Santa Maria to the old town of Cadiz is a must. Conil and Vejer and Tarifa are well worth a visit. There are many top class golf courses in the area. Or one can kite surf, wind surf, horse ride or just relax and soak up the sun on the fabulous beaches.

There are many festivals in Chiclana during the year including Festival of San Antonio in June which combines religion and flamenco, in July there is the festival of Romeria de la Virgen del Carmen thousands of people make a pilgrim from the shrine of Santo Cristo to Santi Petri.

Hi Berna,
We have just returned from your beautiful villa, it was amazing ! The villa is absolutely lovely. It had every convenience. The boys lived in the pool ! Joseph and I loved sitting out side in the evenings having a beer and enjoying the silence. Its close to everything , but far enough away to be totally peace full. The beach at La Barossa is stunning. To be truthfull we couldn't find fault with anything. As I told you our son is disabled and this was our first family holiday abroad, so we were nervous about getting it right. Well, we hit the jackpot with Cuba Libre. Hazel was a great help, especially when we got lost getting there !
So I just want to say thanks again and hopefully we will be back again next year.

Berna, Well the Keane clan arrived back on Saturday. We had a wonderful time in your beautiful villa and thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We were very lucky - the weather was amazing. Your directions were very clear and we met up with Axel at the Villa. We had some great trips to Cadiz, Chiclana, La Barossa and Tarife and enjoyed some beautiful food. Also had some good nights at the local Venta, but best nights were sitting outside the villa with a BBQ and a few bottles of wine.So thanks for sharing your villa with us. Monica
